This concert set was recorded live at the Isle Of Wight Festival in 1970 in front of 600,000 people. Included is a new interview with Ian Anderson, backstage footage, original interviews from 1970 with residents and fans, film footage of the band's appearance in the Rolling Stones Rock And Roll Circus with Tony Iommi, plus a bonus photo gallery of 26 original pictures of Tull's performance taken by Claude Gassian. Jethro Tull took to the stage immediately after rock legend Jimi Hendrix on the last day of the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970. An eight song set featuring such tracks as "Cry You a Song," "My Sunday Feeling," and "With You There to Help Me," illustrates the band's growth across their first three albums, with Murray Lerner's cinematography accurately conveying the raw energy of their live act. Lead vocalist Ian Anderson also offers insight into what was going on behind the scenes of Jethro Tull at a time before the band had approached superstar status. Jethro Tull - Nothing Is Easy: Live At The Isle Of Wright Reviews: "[With] the visual evidence of explosive energy and total stage command by one of rock's most compelling frontmen."

Jethro Tull - Nothing Is Easy: Live At The Isle Of Wright Video Jethro Tull - Nothing Is Easy: Live At The Isle Of Wright Movie Review Average Rating: (4.3 out of 5 stars) A great performance of early Jethro Tull This wonderful DVD combines the performance of Jethro Tull at the Isle of Wright Festival (The "British Woodstock") and an inteview with Ian Anderson, at the present day. There is also some footage about what was happening with the 600.000 people that assisted to the Festival. All of this material is beautifully edited in such a way that the DVD runs very quickly.
It is a great performance of hungry and young Jethro Tull with little prog-rock and lot of blues, including an early version of "My God" in wich the lyrics are not the same as you can listen to in "Aqualung". The title track "Nothing is easy" has been taken from a TV show, "The Rolling Stones RNR Circus" and you can see Tommy Iommi as guitar-player, before the arrival of Martin Barre to the band.
You don't need to be a Tull fan to enjoy this DVD, in fact I am not, and I think it's great!! I have enjoyed from beggining to end and I recommend it to everybody who like the music of the first 10 years of this band.
The CD includes three more tracks than the DVD, and although the sound is not perfect the material is really good. Submitted by gviotti (Montevideo, URUGUAY) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$8.95 The album's opening track, "Sweet Leaf," a salute to one of the band's favorite smokeable substances, contains one of metal's heaviest guitar riffs, courtesy of Tony Iommi. Another eternal band favorite is the grim, post-nuclear war tale "Children ...

Jethro Tull - Nothing Is Easy: Live At The Isle Of Wright DVD
$8.99 While many hard-core Black Sabbath fans consider 1975's SABOTAGE to be the band's most underrated album, it can also be pointed to as the beginning of the end for the original Osbourne-Iommi-Butler-Ward line-up. Osbourne was starting to feel disillusioned with the group, and the seeds for his highly successful solo career in the '80s were being planted. That said, SABOTAGE was the last Sabbath album to truly contain all of the components that made ...

Jethro Tull - Nothing Is Easy: Live At The Isle Of Wright movie DVD
$8.69 PARANOID proved to be Black Sabbath's most focused, consistent, and successful record. Leaving behind the amorphous, extended jams of their debut for focused songs and a more structured sound, Black Sabbath virtually wrote the book on heavy metal with the ominous, unforgettable riffs, thunderous rhythms, and dark themes on this release. There are some up-tempo rockers, the famous title ...
