The band is captured here in this set at their finest, in concert at London't Union Chapel. The band performs tracks from their latest album, The Well's On Fire, along with many of their classics. DVD extras include interview with Gary Brooker, earlier-in-the-day montage, comments from the bar, and alternative camera angles on selected tracks. Recorded at the Union Chapel in Islington, London, on December 12, 2003, this program features a live performance by Procol Harum, one of the most popular prog rock bands of the late 1960s. The group landed at the top of the charts all over the world with their hit "A Whiter Shade of Pale." Melding thoughtful lyrics and an artfulness many of their of their peers lacked with heavy drums and guitar, the band still has retained a large, devoted fan base. This concert finds Procol Harum performing some of the best songs of their 40-year career, including "A Salty Dog," "Whisky Train," "Shine on Brightly," and many more. NOTHING BUT PURE CLASS - "HIGH CLASS" Procol Harum at its best performs for a mature audience in this cozy venue. Picture and DTS sound quality are both superb. If you're not a real big Procol Harum fan now, you will be after you see this show. Highly recommended to all music lovers. I also recommend Procol Harum "Live at Copenhagen" as well. Procol Harum-'Live At The Chapel'(Red Distribution) Even though I've never been a Procol Harum fan,I thought I'd go ahead and check out this concert DVD.Sort of liked what they had to offer here,a 21-song retrospect of their British progressive music they've been writing for the last 35 years.Includes their three U.S. hits,"Homburg","Conquistador" and their signature song "Whiter Shade Of Pale".Didn't realize it until now but a handful of these tunes are from their recent studio CD,2003's 'The Well's On Fire'.Check it out. Procol Harum - Live At The Union Chapel film
$18.25 Procol Harum's first album was originally released without the inclusion of "A Whiter Shade of Pale," a song that had been a monumental hit just before the LP appeared. In subsequent releases, the running order of the album was slightly changed and "Good Captain Clack" was omitted to make room for the hit that the public expected. What further confused matters was the fact that the debut was available variously as a self-titled release and as A WHITER SHADE ...

Procol Harum - Live At The Union Chapel review
$18.39 A SALTY DOG...PLUS contains the complete 1969 original release plus 6 rare or previously unreleased bonus tracks.
This German import reissue is packaged in a digipak and contains the bonus track "Long Gone Geek."
Procol Harum, who reached an astounding peak with their 1967 debut, achieved further heights with each successive release up to A SALTY DOG, their third. This album mixes heartfelt singing with orchestral grandeur and an R&B-based rhythm section (B.J. Wilson is one of the great unsung drummers of the '60s and '70s). The band easily and honestly moves from the symphonic mini-epic of the title track to the bluesy "The Milk of Human Kindness." The dual keyboards offer a regal sheen that is nicely punctuated by Robin Trower's guitar. Throughout, Gary Brooker's vocals are richly barbed and the perfect vehicle to deliver lyricist Keith Reid's literary verses. With the departure of organist Matthew Fisher, this was the last great recording by the original line-up of Procol Harum. This album is essential.

Procol Harum - Live At The Union Chapel review
$6.55 Angus (Rufus Sewell) and Lillie (Carla Gugino) run a travelling carnival. While travelling the Irish countryside, they give a ride to an old sailor who in turn invites them into his castle to see his most prized possession--a live mermaid kept in a tank (Rya Kihlstadt). Knowing they can make a fortune off of the fabled half-fish, half-woman creature, Angus steals her for his show and loads her on a boat to sail to America. Little does he know, the mermaid masks a horror that will not show ...
