Master P took his music to a new level of quality on Ice Cream Man, which is his first to feature the production stable known as Beats by the Pound (i.e., KLC, Mo B. Dick, DJ Daryl, Carlos Stephens, Ken Franklin, Craig B). Themes of drugs, violence, and ghetto life are prevalent and well exploited. Ice Cream Man was Master P's best-selling album to date, and it created a significant buzz in the hardcore rap underground, setting the stage for his chart-topping follow-up, Ghetto D (1997). ~ Jason Birchmeier Master P took his music to a new level of quality on Ice Cream Man, which is his first to feature the production stable known as Beats by the Pound (i.e., KLC, Mo B. No Limit Classic Back in the day No Limit pput out some quality music. I cant front i got some of their cds but none of their recent ones because they is garbage. However No Limit is much much better than Cash Money bull. I dont know about the best No Limit release but this is definitely his best cd. Like someone said he had a more laid back west coast type of sound and the ish was tight. buth then he got into that yellling in the mic and became lame. But the production is fresh and not obnoxious with a bunch of sound effects like Cash Money. u can listen to this cd from start to finish with almost no ;use of the fast forward( on some songs u just skip) Most people hate on this cus all they listen to is stuff from their area or Up North where they wont even take the time to listen to anything outside of Northern stuff. Or people who only listen to underground adn conscious. But Remember in 96 P was fairly underground he didnt get that big until he dropped i always feel like and make em say ugh. Give this cd a try unless you are narrow minded and refuse to listen to anything outside of ya region. best songs are mr. ice cream man, bout it bout it, break em off something, sellin ice cream, playa around the way, botu the drama. It also has one of the best skits ever so check it out

Ice Cream Man
$11.59 Producers include: Controller 7, Math, Daddy Kev, Alias, Raggedy Andy. Extreme solipsism can be done very artfully (Proust, say, or Joni Mitchell's Blue), though, more commonly, it is not, an "asshole hanging out" exhibition, to use Allen Ginsberg's resonant phrase. Bottle of Humans exposes a bit of its posterior here and there, but luckily it edges much closer to the former side of the curve. Sole's debut full-length is a fascinating introduction to a darkly enigmatic interior life, even if it ultimately falls shy of the magnitude of artistic self-transformation orchestrated by Eminem, to name another rapper who has managed to turn private revelation into a funky sort of absurdist autobiography. Like Slim Shady, Sole has surreal self-deprecation down cold, though he can't always muster the charismatic schizophrenia. He is a clever forger of words and framer of ideas, and his wit is readily apparent, even if the MC occasionally comes off too strident or earnest. In any event, this is a frequently captivating album -- there is something attractive about the idea ...

$8.55 KRAVELLE Kravelle is not an ordinary band to be taken likely. With a mix of old and new and everything in between, there is a definite major interest in Kravelle. Music is dead on solid with an emphasis on groove. The band consists of Tom Comfort (Vocals), Barry Rich (Guitar), Cirrus Bajo (Bass), and Tommy Hart (Drums). They came together out of the ashes of life’s tragedies and they formed this thing called “KRAVELLE “. This is just the beginning for this group of unusual guys. The songs range from personal feelings about life, death, war, religion, and even suicide. The musicians are not your typical average players. Kravelle music is played with heart, soul, feel and groove. Not technical at all, but very simple. There motto is “less is more”, and this is true. All you have to do is listen to “Canticle Fair”. It features an 11 (eleven) year old girl playing the piano to a monster groove. It’s like nothing I ever heard before. It made a believer out of me about the “less is more” thinking. The whole Cd is set in this way of thinking. Another song with “less is more” is “WE Will Rock You”. They took the fundamentals of the Queen classic, and made it fit with their own version of a driving musical force. Another song on the CD called “Now what” will make some people very, very angry. I know I was! It deals with religion from all walks of life very graphically. I asked about this song, and they responded, “God has nothing to do ...
