2 Excellent Albums by Shirley!! These 2 albums were released in the late 1960's after Shirley's huge 'Goldfinger' success. Here in the USA, "I've Got a Song For you" was called "Shirley Means Bassey". The orchestrations and Shirley's voice are outstanding on both LP's. Her version of "And We Were Lovers" is a standout. Great job Shirley! I am so pleased to purchase CDs from CD Universe, one by Shirley Bassey and Vikki Carr Christmas Album. Here are two divas that can out chirp a bird! Love their voices and thank you for providing such great entertainment still! Submitted by Casey (London, England UK) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo
Two of her best! This CD contains the two first LPs that Shirley Bassey did for United Artists, and they were i my opinion some of her best. I have been looking for a re-issue of these two records for a long time and was very happy to find them now. Good quality re-issue. Submitted by Peter (Malmö, Sweden) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo

$13.05 After 2004's We Fight Til Death Windsor for the Derby principals Dan Matz and Jason McNeeley relocated to Philadelphia separately. The close proximity removed the "project" tag from Derby's name, since Matz and McNeeley could now spend indefinite amounts of time recording and playing shows with WFTD. They also added full-time personnel on drums and bass guitar, and nothing says "band" -- not "project" -- like a rhythm section. These tweaks to the formula likely account for the dramatic sonic shifts in 2005's Giving Up the Ghost. While Death had more vocals and a greater melodic sense than past records, Ghost is its own mysterious pop animal, an immediately unique and curious document that suggests slowcore, ...
