| One of Miles Better 80's Efforts
Some electronic noise but 2 extended jams that cook,the reggae flavored "Something's On Your Mind" and the harder edged "Katia".The real highlight is Miles take on a couple of 80's hits,Michael Jackson's "Human Nature",and Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time".He plays these slow and sweet.

| Not Quite There Yet
This is the last record in Davis' transitional, mid-80's period. After this, Marcus Miller would take over the music direction, arranging, production, and much of the instrumentation and 'Tutu' and 'Amandla' would be classics. Here, however, Davis still does not have the the drummer or the guitar sound he wants (compare these versions of 'Human Nature' and 'Time After Time' to those on 'Miles Around The World'). Though it's better than 'Decoy', that's about it- skip it!
