IT'S A GREAT REGGAE ALBUM BY A PROLIFIC ARTSIT. LOT'S OF TRACKS WERE PRODUCED BY REGGAE'S TOP OF THE LINE PRODUCERS

Since I like listening to his Virtuous Woman CD so much, especially "Love Jah And Live", I had no doubt I would like this one even more. I was a bit disappointed. Sure, it's great, but he seems to sound more like a rapper than a smooth singer. Even so, I totally love the way he sings! I don't know how he gets his sound, but he reminds me of "a Male Marlow Thomas" (for those of you old enough to remember the TV show "That Girl"). As stated, I like this CD, but I can't say I LOVE it like Virtous Woman. Still, worth every penny and I'm glad it's in my collection!

The problem with attacking easy targets in order to make a point is that they're, well, too easy to attack. Take smooth jazz, for example. If one's premise is that smooth jazz in general is bland, mindless, and devoid of substance, it's easy to make that point by lambasting Kenny G, Richard Elliot, and other whipping boys of the jazz media. But when names like Grover Washington, Jr., George Benson, and David Sanborn are brought into the discussion, it becomes much harder to make the argument that nothing worthwhile ever came out of smooth jazz.
