Best Rapper Alive! Plane and simple. If you like "real" hip-hop, Koop is your man and you need to cop this CD. Three-Six will never be the same without Koopsta Knicca and Lord Infamous. This CD maintains that underground Memphis sound that "tru" Triple-Six fans love. I can't wait until Koop drops another CD. Submitted by Wendell ("Baltimore, MD, USA") Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Mind Of Robert Cooper music CDs
$17.99 Jimmy Payne is an entertainer who, as he comments, comes from the heart of rural America.Born in Arkansas, grew up in Missouri, is the youngest of eleven children. He learned to play Guitar at the age of sixteen. While still in his teens, he, and his niece Betty, had there on Radio Show over KTCB in Malden Missouri. His Teenage dreams were mostly filled with country songs, and visions of living in Nashville while dragging a nine foot cotton sack through rows of Southeast Missouri cotton fields.Picking cotton was a hard way to earn money, however, commonplace in those days.In 1966, he signed a five year contract with Epic Records. His first single with Epic "What Does I t Take"' became a hit in a few markets and sold several thousand records but never gathered enough momentum to break into the Billboard national charts. Six months later, his close friend Jim Glaser, was working on a new song and asked Jimmy to help finish it. They wrote on it all night and by morning it was finished.. In a couple weeks Jimmy recorded it for his second single under the direction of legendary producer Billy Sherrill. The song was Woman, Woman,” have you got cheating on your mind”. A couple months later his record was playing on the Radio in Los Angeles, Columbia Record Producer, Jerry Fuller, heard it and took it to a group he had just signed. The group was Gary Puckett, and The Union Gap . The song has been recorded around a hundred times, and according to BMI, played more than four million times on U.S. Radio aloneIn 1969 Jimmy recorded The Dick Feller song, L.A.Angels, Taking it to 21 in the national chartsOther national charts records were "Ramblin' Man,'Where has all the love gone" "Tonight's The Night Miss Sally Testifies" and "Turnin' My Love on".Prestigious venues Jimmy has played, include, " The Grand Ole Opry" "Golden Nugget" Las Vegas,"Wheeling Jamboree", Wembly Festival, London, England", and "Peterborough Festival"England. In 1974, and 75, he was voted Most Promising Artist to The British audiences by Billboard- Music week. ...
| | Miles Davis Circle In The Round CDs (1979)
Mind Of Robert Cooper songs
$18.59 CIRCLE IN THE ROUND contains alternate takes and previously unreleased material spanning Miles Davis' acoustic bands of the 1950s through his electric bands of the early '70s.
Miles Davis recorded prolifically for Columbia in his 30 years on the label, and CIRCLE IN THE ROUND contains enough loose tidbits and fascinating leftovers to fill two CDs--with spillover from several of his most fertile periods.
"Side Car" and "Splash" emanate from the MILES IN THE SKY and FILLES DE KILIMANJARO period, as Miles experimented with rock beats and discursive keyboard harmonies. Guitarist George Benson brings a cubist kind of blues sensitivity to the modern harmonies of "Side Car II" and Shorter's moody "Sanctuary," while Joe Beck's droning figures convey the Iberian drama and desolation of the title tune.
Elsewhere there appears this mystical, electro-Carnatic re-upholstery job on David Crosby's "Guinnevere," with its BITCHES BREW sitars, tambouras, berimbaus and moaning ...

It's been said that Jay-Z put on his retirement show just so he could call himself "the Mike Jordan of rap." He might've also named his ninth studio album (and his first post-retirement) KINGDOM COME to draw equally boastful Superman comparisons. Supposedly taking the title from a Superman comic book in which the Man of Steel comes out of retirement to save the world yet again, Jiggaman seems to think hip-hop needs rescuing ...
