(7 Customer Reviews)
Don't be surprised if a giant cloud of pot smoke wafts out of your speakers when Kottonmouth King's JOINT VENTURE kicks in. Like Cypress Hill before them, knuckled-headed California rap-rockers Kottonmouth Kings love their Mary Jane. And their seventh release once again finds the Kings trading in high-energy, hands-in-the-air odes to the ganj that look to everything from reggae and west coast g-funk to Limp Bizkit-style nu metal for musical inspiration. JOINT VENTURE also includes a DVD with all of the Kings' videos, one of which features, appropriately enough, Cypress Hill.
This set includes a DVD containing the entire collection of the band's videos including 3 new videos. The CD includes 4 new tracks from their 8th studio album and 6 never heard remixees of past classics, plus an interactive section that tkes the band through the Suburban Noize Records roster and is accessible through a computer. Other artists include Kingspade featuring D-Lock and Richter from KMK and New Daddy X from KMK. Kottonmouth Kings Joint Venture Songs | 1. | I'm Hungry | |

Joint Venture album
$6.39 This audio document of The Corrs' Dublin homecoming concert has pretty much everything fans of Irish pop could wish for, including an appearance from Bono in his earthly incarnation, fresh from an audience with President George W. Bush. It's to the band's credit that the charismatic singer fails to steal the show, despite creditable efforts via an anthemized version of Ryan Adams' beautifully downtempo "When the Stars Go Blue," and a great, leering rendition of Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra's "Summer Wine."
Somewhat more mysteriously, Rolling Stone Ron Wood also turns up on what sounds dangerously close to a lounge version of Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing," but this minor faux pas is redeemed by the Irish folk medley "Joy of Life/Trout in the Bath" which arguably features more full-on Irishness than the Dublin production of RIVERDANCE. There's also a lovely rendition of Neil ...

| | Dredg Catch Without Arms CD (2005)
Joint Venture album
$8.49 Early on, critics often described Dredg as a metal group. However, the quartet has since matured into a hard-edged indie-rock ensemble that seeks diversity and refinement in its music. On CATCH WITHOUT ARMS, the band favors highly orchestrated parts, dense guitar riffs, and powerful drumming. Each song is based around memorable vocal hooks and sensitive lyrical content.
Many tracks on CATCH WITHOUT ARMS have a searching quality to them. Despite the sheer force of the music, this release is ultimately marked by well constructed melodies and intriguing harmonic underpinnings. This is due in part to singer Gavin Hayes, who sounds more ...
| | Kottonmouth Kings Koast II Koast CD (2006)
Joint Venture CD music
$13.09 Since 1998, Southern California's vibe has been a little bit greener thanks to the stoned antics of heavy metal/hip-hop outfit Kottonmouth Kings. They're like the Insane Clown Posse of potheads, with a fan base that's just slightly less fervent than the Juggalo Army (though that may have ...
| | Very Best! Of Millie Jackson CD (1994)
Joint Venture music CDs
$8.25 All songs co-written by Millie Jackson except "Love Is A Dangerous Game" (W. Brathwaite/J. Butler), "Something You Can Feel" (G. Levert/M. Gordon/E. Levert), "When Are You Gonna Tell Your Woman (About Me)" (P. Scott/D. Knyght/T. Owens), "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" (C. King/G. Goffin).
The title of this collection of Millie Jackson's work for Jive Records is somewhat misleading in that it focuses only on the singer's output from the 1980s and '90s (and does not include any of her fine--and in many ways her best--material from the '70s). By the '80s, Jackson had firmly established her saucy, provocative recording ...

| | Pietro Tonolo Your Songs: The Music Of Elton John CD (2007)
Joint Venture music CDs
$13.69 Jazz musicians are always seeking relatively unexplored territory, as many standards and established jazz compositions have been recorded far too often. Saxophonist Pietro Tonolo is not the first jazz musician to release a CD of rocker Elton John's compositions, whose music initially seems rather unpromising for improvising. But Tonolo recruited pianist Gil Goldstein, bassist Steve Swallow and Paul Motian for this session and together they have some success. Tonolo sticks to tenor sax for most of ...
