Die Ewigen Steine album
$21.94 When Anthrax released AMONG THE LIVING in 1987, the band was a part of a then-burgeoning heavy metal sub-genre called speed or thrash metal. This was an inversion of glam metal. The band members wore worn-out jeans and T-shirts, their long hair was hairspray-free, and not a smudge of make-up was applied to their unsightly mugs. Their music was dense, borrowing speed from punk and hardcore and mammoth guitar riffing from metal, and featured thought-provoking lyrics. AMONG THE LIVING not only served as Anthrax's ...

Die Ewigen Steine CD music
$18.95 Water...it is one of the basic elements we must have to sustain life. Our bodies contain it, we wash in it, play in it, we drink it, the dry ground is replenished by it and much of the earth is covered with it, but too much of the wrong kind, in the wrong place at any time is devestating. Many of the songs on this project are about thirst, water, diving into the deep, getting out of the shallows, and storms. We were deep into the recording of this project when hurricanes Katrina and Rita hit, devestating the gulf coast. I sat watching the news coverage of this horiffic natural disaster and wondered, "Lord, have I missed it? Who wants to dive into the deep when all water means right now is death and destruction?" I watched people stranded on rooftops begging for water, mothers holding dehydrated babies who would die without water, and entire buildings engulfed in flames while surrounded by and flooded with water. Why Water? Then He showed me...because they are thirsty. Civilization is drowning in a flood of the wrong kinds of water, destroyed by their thirst for things other than God's Spirit, yet their spirits remain parched and dry.Isaiah 44:3 says, "I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring." That is the premise for this project. God knows where you are, He loves you, He wants to fill you to overflow with the fullness ...
| | Behemoth Thelema.6 CD (2001)
Die Ewigen Steine music CDs
$10.65 The fifth album from these Polish black/death metal warriors, Thelema.6 makes its virtues clear right from the onset: excellent, full-sounding production (as opposed to the basement blur favored by many black metal bands); tirelessly executed blastbeats and double-bass drumming; and powerful vocals, both in a David Vincent-style (Morbid Angel) death metal vein and a slightly higher-pitched black metal rasp. This is intense, hard-hitting stuff that just leaps out of the speakers, and the guitar parts -- even if they do sound a tad familiar or predictable in spots -- add an element of catchiness that makes it all pretty accessible from the first listen. Oddly, the four "bonus tracks" tacked on at the end actually provide some of the album's highlights, notably "Hello Space Boy," with its two-chord structure, bizarre lyrics, and sung/shrieked vocal mix, and "From the Pagan Vastlands," ...
| | Megadeth That One Night: Live In Buenos Aires CDs (2007)
Die Ewigen Steine songs
$13.89 In the best scene of Metallica's overblown Some Kind of Monster documentary, Dave Mustaine admits to Lars Ulrich that he feels like he's always coming in second place to his former band. But in reality, Mustaine has for many years fronted one of metal's most popular and enduring bands, Megadeth, who still release strong-selling albums and are able to headline large venues. Case in point, their first-ever live release, That One Night: Live in Buenos Aires. Originally issued as a DVD, this audio portion chronicles a performance from 2005 at Obras Stadium in Buenos Aires, before 25,000 rabid fans. As evidenced by several previous live rock/metal DVDs by other artists (especially ...
| | Cappadonna Slang Prostitution CD (2008)
Die Ewigen Steine album
$14.29 With his trademark gruff-voiced flow, inventive wordplay, and off-kilter rhyme schemes, Cappadonna has been one of Staten Island's most distinctive lyricists since he debuted alongside the Wu-Tang Clan in the mid 1990s. On his long-awaited fifth studio LP, SLANG PROSTITUTION, "Cappachino" turns introspective for his most personal album to date. Linking with fellow Wu-Tang brethren and a slew of talented underground producers, Cappadonna sports a new batch of oddball aliases (Don Knish, Diggler aka the Cab Driver), speaks of his true-life struggles on a series of a cappella interludes ("You Can't Keep a Good Man Down"), revisits childhood memories ("Do You Remember?"), and takes time to display his penchant for good old fashioned street-narratives ("Stories"). Raekwon, Masta Killa, ...
