Great series!
I bought a dvd on the discount rack at a local store. On it were two Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movie (the reason for my purchase) and two episodes of the 1954 series with Ronald Howard and H.

Bargain priced enjoyable TV
Sherlock Holmes - The Complete Series 39 Episodes review I completely forgot I was watching a very old series in black & white. Having ,like everyone else,seen a lot of the normal Holmes movies appear on TV over and over again, it was also a pleasure to see a lot of stories I had never seen.

AN AMAZING BARGAIN
THIS IS A LOW BUDGET SERIES BUT THE SETS AND VICTORIAN ATMOSPHERE ARE EXCELLENT. THE STORIES ARE MOSTLY ORIGINAL AND OFTEN TOO LIGHT BUT NEVERTHELESS USUALLY INTERESTING.
