| Great series!
Sherlock Holmes - The Complete Series 39 Episodes review I bought a dvd on the discount rack at a local store. On it were two Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movie (the reason for my purchase) and two episodes of the 1954 series with Ronald Howard and H. Marion-Crawford. Well, those two episodes hooked me and I had to buy all 39 episodes. Well worth the money, I really enjoy the series very much.

| Bargain priced enjoyable TV
Sherlock Holmes - The Complete Series 39 Episodes DVD I completely forgot I was watching a very old series in black & white. Having ,like everyone else,seen a lot of the normal Holmes movies appear on TV over and over again, it was also a pleasure to see a lot of stories I had never seen. Not heavyweight plotting,to be sure,but very enjoyable. And 39 episodes will keep most Holmes fans happy for a while.

These episodes may be rather old, but they still manage to capture your senses with the old world english atmosphere and classic dialogue of the day. This makes them a pure pleasure to watch!

THIS IS A LOW BUDGET SERIES BUT THE SETS AND VICTORIAN ATMOSPHERE ARE EXCELLENT. THE STORIES ARE MOSTLY ORIGINAL AND OFTEN TOO LIGHT BUT NEVERTHELESS USUALLY INTERESTING. RONALD HOWARD IS A BLAND HOLMES BUT HOWARD MARION CRAWFORD EXCELLES AS WATSON. THIS IS THE COMPLETE SERIES AND IS A MUST FOR ANY HOLMES FAN AT THIS AMAZING LOW PRICE.
