$16.45 BioWho would have guessed that a flourishing career wouldbe the result of “having fun with Daddy”? That’s whathas happened in the case of The McFadden Brothers. In their own words they recall; “As far as I can remember, we were tap dancing,” “Dad would practice withus - he used to make it so much fun. This was like playtime with Daddy.”They have been entertaining since they were in elementary school, learning their licks from their father,Kansas City hoofer and all around entertainer Smilin’ Jimmy McFadden. Their Dad, danced with the likesof “The Count Basie Orchestra,” “Blanche Calloway’s Harlem Review,” “Jay McShann,” and many moreof ...

$11.49 This album is a collection of acoustic and electric songs usually in my third set when playing out, dedicated to all those who helped and lost there lives at the world trade center on sept. 11th , 2001. Being originally from new york it means a lot to me. In some way that attack has touched every one of us. There is not much more i can say. Most people say i should write a book. I've been a guitarist for 35 yrs , written music for 30 yrs. I've played in full blown rock and roll bands to going out and playing acoustic. I think playing acoustic guitar a lot has given me an edge. For a long time that was the only guitar i had, after a few bad decisions. My life has taken me from new york to working as a cowboy in north western colorado for 18 yrs. But my roots have always been in long island, new york. But my life has given me a collection of 100 to 200 songs each one reflecting on different stage's of life, i know a lot of people can relate to most of them. My mentor is the great eric clapton. But i have learned so much through many artist from the 60's 70's and today. It is finally a time in my life where i have the time and private studio to hone my craft. With that i feel if a few of these songs hit home with just a few people, i've done my job. In waiting for a mountain of music to be approved, i have been going through hours of my recording's to figure out what i would put together next. I realized i have a lot of magic recorded, from over the years, all my family, friends and animals would join in on these recording's. I had forgotten about most of those times, but they all recorded well on the old teac 1230. Lately my thoughts have gone towards the fact that we all have to do something about the oil dependency we all have. That not just a few of us can change it. We all have to do it together. Waiting for the governments to change it is not the answer. We the people of the world have change it. It is almost to late , what is it going to take. Our grand children will have a world in turmoil to deal with. Open our eyes now and make the changes , in my music from this day on will reflect the need to do something now. I have just spent some reading the news and tips section for member's. Argueing about contest's is such a waste of valuable time. I have been around this business for 35 year's and cd baby has given us a route to reach out to people we would never have touched 20 years ago unless we were a few of the fortuniate one's who got signed by a large company. We would of had to do world tours and stay on the road for 365 days and nite's year after year. There would never be time for writing new music or anything else. You would not have control over the club's you played or were you recorded. We now have all these great way's to reach out , with out putting yourself on the chopping block. I know i will probably won't be a high seller for the month. But that doesn't matter. What matter's is are we putting out our music and doing what we love. I found a bunch of people who enjoy getting together and writting and playing our own style. Now my music has finally has the structure i have wanted for a long time. Spend time doing what you enjoy , dereck is not the bad guy. He had a dream and put it together and if we play it rite , we will benefit from it. Believe me there are sharks out there in this field, i have come against them. Back in the 70's there was some guy from nashville , going around saying he was looking for musican songwriters to help. He was just a pimp, our day we call him a scammer. There are million's of them in this digital world and derreck surely isn't one. I have never met derreck , but he take's an interest in us personally. I can see it in what he write's. As to that my new album will ...
