Korean-American, left-wing, bisexual comedienne Margaret Cho takes on the American Right in this wonderfully realized series of sketches from her 2005 ASSASSIN world tour. With subtly timed quips ("Being gay is not outrageous...and if you think it is, you're gay!") and caustic digs at President George Bush ("Bush is no Hitler. He would be if he applied himself,") she vents her outrage at hot-button subjects from female inequality to right-wing talk radio hosts in a paradoxically relaxed, conversational manner. Her race, gender, and sexual orientation make her the quintessential outsider, the best vantage point for cutting-edge comedy.

| | Styles Gangster And A Gentleman CD (2002)
Assassin music CDs
$11.99 As one-third of the intrepid street rap trio LOX, Styles Paniro had seen hip-hop go through a number of awkward phases since the death of friend and mentor the Notorious B.I.G. Biggie Smalls and Sean "Puffy" Combs were the first to recognize the talents of Styles and fellow Yonkers natives Jadakiss and Sheek Luciano. After Biggie's passing, the LOX released their debut, Money, Power & Respect, in 1998, and Styles was always the MC who listeners looked forward to hearing on the track. After the LOX became fed up with Puff Daddy's glammed-out approach to the rap game, they rediscovered their gully roots and resurfaced with DMX, Swizz Beatz, and the Ruff Ryder camp in early 2000, releasing the far-more-edgy We Are the Streets later that same year. After fellow LOX member Jadakiss found solo success with his summer 2001 release Kiss tha Game Goodbye, it was only a matter of time before Styles, every bit as talented a lyricist as Jada but perhaps a little less marketable, came forth with a solo venture. The buzz for this album was spurred by two singles in particular: the soulful memoir "My Life," featuring Pharoahe Monch (originally released ...

Assassin album
$12.79 With each year that passes after the release of The Stone Roses, the album looks more and more like one of the last truly inspired rock albums. The Remixes, compiled in 2000, sees remixes of ten of that album's tracks that do little to improve or expand upon the exuberant genius of the original John Leckie productions. Indeed, many of the remixers -- among them A Guy Called Gerald, Paul Oakenfold, Utah Saints, Grooverider, and Justin Robertson -- seem unwilling to make many ...

She has a sizeable catalog of original compositions written on various instruments including cajon and guitar. Genuine love and musical gift emerged at the age of six, when she first encountered the touch of the piano keys, but it hasn't always been an easy road for Jamie to follow her dreams. She composed her first song at the age of sixteen, but didn't understand her gift and hid it from the world. Her first performance came two years later. Encouraged by her family to attend college, she decided on a university in San Diego. After two years she discovered the difficulties of being a contemporary musician at a classical arts university and felt discouraged in her dreams, music, and abilities. Soon after, she realized her passion ...
