This release is a bold and daring look into the sordid world of the most provocative and best-selling black metal band around. Included is a 90+ minute live show, 45 minute documentary featurette, extensive interview footage with Dani Filth, photo gallery, videos, 8-page full color booklet, and more. Provocative, controversial, and invariably compelling, British death metal band Cradle of Filth delivers a sound as haunting as it is hard, donning funereal costumes and black-and-white "corpse paint" for their live appearances. Included here is a 90-minute live concert, as well as an interview with frontman Dani Filth, and a 45-minute documentary featurette.

CRADLE OF FILTH I LOVE CRADLE OF FILTH, BUT THEIR RECORDING ISN'T THAT GOOD. I CAN BARELY HEAR DANI'S VOICE. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM MORE IN THE MUSIC VIDEO LIKE THE NYMPHETAMINE VIDEO.. NOW THAT IS AWESOME!!
BESIDES ALL THAT, THE DVD/QUALITY IS ALL GOOD. IT IS WORTH PURCHASING THEIR DVD. I LOVE IT! Submitted by bleu_faeri (PORTLAND, OR, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
killer dvd i bought this and the "heavy, left handed and candid dvd's" they are both good. both had nice sets covering multiple domestic albums and some rarer tracks, decent camerawork and a impressive stage show i agree dani's voice sometimes is barely audible but otherwise good sound, and i found the home movies bonus stuff weak. Not the band they were!!! Finally someone who knows what they are talking about, the last reviewer hit the nail right on the head, its plain and simple this band is no longer what it was, face it when Robin Graves left in late 2001 it was doomed from then on,they seem to have lost their way completely, they used to be so offensive and dark and mysterious, even their artwork had more power and meaning to it,their lyrics used to be more intense also.their first 4 albums are my favorites, now don't get me wrong i don't hate their newer material its just that they don't seem to have the same effect that drew me to them in the first place. It is true, its obvious Dani's voice is just about gone and i'm sure you won't hear them doing Haunted Shores live anytime soon(my favorite COF song ever!)It seems instead of being themselves they seem to be more interested in directing themselves to the mainstream world, especially by signing to Epic records then to Roadrunner records, see Opeth did the same thing, and i think their new album seems to be lacking also, and i've heard that Satyricon has also recently signed with Roadrunner also.I still have respect for all of these bands,i just wish i had a time machine to go back to when these guys were more than all bark and no bite as this dvd shows them as now!! Check out all of their older albums first and their first 2 dvds before you buy this one, you'll be glad you did!!! Submitted by Jjohnstonh (New Haven,MO,USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Ignore the fanboi's this is the real deal. There was a time where I considered this band to be the most significant act in music of the 20th century. They really should have quit while they were ahead before the terrible "From the cradle to enslave" EP was released. Although I continued to enjoy much of their work afterward including Midian the underated Damnation and a day. Constant line-up changes (for the worst) and the degradation of the frontmans performance (clearly on display in this dvd) have crippled a band that would have been legends in my eyes. Dani's vocals are good, until he tries to reproduce the inhuman wails of his past, which now sound more like a kettle's whistle firing off than the near unearthly cacophony he used to be able to muster. Worse is when he tries to recreate his low voice often heard on record. Dani here is some advice. Quit with trying to utilitze the vocal dynamics of your albums (which stil sounds great). You simply cannot do it anymore, stick to the midrange where you are best live.
I remmember seeing a bootleg of this band performing live some 9 or so years ago. They were majestic, mysterious, charismatic and near inhuman in their performance. Those elements have all but gone. Buy this DVD by all means if you are still a fan, its still worth a watch or even only to show how a band can fall so far yet be more popular than ever with the masses. Make sure you get Left handed DVD first though because its a much more comprehensive and funny offering than this. Submitted by Diernes (New Zealand) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Cradle Of Filth - Peace Through Superior Firepower DVD
$32.69 Television executives plugged into viewers' deepest fears with the debut of TALES FROM THE CRYPT in 1989. Its original source material was the EC comic-book; the series originated on HBO and would go on to run for seven seasons. Hosted by the skeletal Crypt Keeper himself, each episode of the show offered a new, ghoulish tale to inspire nightmares in its audience. The show was such a success that a myriad of CRYPT-inspired spin-offs resulted, including an animated series, several feature films, and seemingly infinite merchandising opportunities. A popular favorite among horror film ...
