After the great Schwarzkopf here comes Fleming. Perfect rendition of the role.

What an elegant setting for this conversation piece! All the singers are marvelous, with Ms Fleming at the top of her form, especially in the final scene where she employes the superb artistry that is her Lieder singing. I found the waiters chorus delightful and M'sieur Taupe wonderful! Ma Otter makes the Clairon role hers and acts it supremely! This was a complete success.
