(8 Customer Reviews)
On 2005's LIVE UNPLUGGED, the Christian singer/songwriter Jeremy Camp presents a set of acoustic performances that largely draws from his highly successful album RESTORED. The spare setting and minimal arrangements enhance Camp's poignant songs of faith and hope (including the gently melodic "Take You Back" and the harmony-laden "This Man"), making this disc a must-have for his devoted fans.
Personnel: Jeremy Camp; Randy Williams, Jared Camp (guitar); Justin Glasco (piano, keyboards); Michael Martin (bass instrument); Leif Skartland (drums).

Depth of Performance I was given this CD/DVD as a gift from my 5th grade son. While I had heard some of Jeremy Camp's produced and catchy studio recordings, I hadn't owned any of his work. I must tell you, I was immediately blown away by Live Unplugged - it quickly became my driving CD of choice before or after work or out and about with the family. This CD works so extremely well on so many levels because of its stripped down concept. It has amazing depth which melds Camp's heart-piercing yet hopeful messages with his finely accomplished accoustic guitar musicianship and vocals. The recording is top-notch, pristine, and the other muscians work well together yet remaining on purpose, including the exceptional, yet simply stated backing vocal contributions from his wife and guitar work from his younger brother. This live performance recording captivates eloquently, exposing both an artist and musician of the caliber of Sting, Bruce Springsteen or Michael W. Smith with the captivating performance delivery of Third Day or the Eagles unplugged reunion tour several years back. Greatness abounds for both Jeremy Camp and the listener of Live Unplugged. This album sits on my Top 5 of an extensive collection as both a musical anchor and sonic haven in these hectic yet important times. If you appreciate great songwriting, live unplugged performances with acomplished musicianship and heart ripping vocals, you'll not only love this album, but will crave it and its message. Feel the Love.

Truly Annointed Music Listening to this CD and watching it on DVD is so inspirational and has pierced my heart. There is no way 5 stars is enough. The music and the lyrics has brought me so much closer to Jesus (who is God in the flesh) with worship and praise for him. It says all the things I feel and am going through. I listen to it in my car and at home, and watch the DVD over & over & over. Awesome!!!! Submitted by lk.woodruff (Lodi, CA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Living Sacrifice Hammering Process CD (2000)
Live Unplugged
$13.49 The dissonant, trebly guitar noodling combined with detuned sub-riffing known as nu-metal sneaks into the always-evolving aggro of Living Sacrifice on the group's sixth release, The Hammering Process. Though perhaps considered a suspicious shift by their underground metal fans, this subtle transformation works for a unit used to combining the best elements of metal's many forms into new and original ...
| | Dream Theater Falling Into Infinity CD (1997)
Live Unplugged
$8.39 Dream Theater's specialty is atmospheric metal, at times heavy, at times sinister, with a sharp techno edge. "New Millennium," the disc's opening cut, defines the sound: ringing guitars, a driving beat, start-stop dynamics and rolling drum crescendos. There's a bit of a Rush influence at work here, as well as ELP and even some ...
| | Dream Theater Scenes From A Memory CD (1999)
Live Unplugged
$11.35 "Metropolis Part I," a track featured on Dream Theater's breakthrough, IMAGES AND WORDS, left many progressive rock enthusiasts with what seemed like another unfinished chapter in a story never to be completed. Seven years and five albums later, Dream Theater returned to its majestic beginnings with METROPOLIS PART II--SCENES FROM A MEMORY. Keyboard virtuoso Jordan Rudess, who was a logical replacement for Derek Sherinian, revitalized the band's sound. Rudess's collaboration with guitarist John Petrucci ...

$17.19 On this, Dream Theater's seventh studio effort, the heavier elements of the band's music come to the forefront. Although the masterful balance of rhythmic interplay, jazzy arrangement, and catchy melodies is ever-present on this two-disc offering, the strong, crunchy guitar sound and powerhouse percussion are pushed more into prominence, helped along by the crystal ...
| | Living Sacrifice Conceived In Fire CD (2002)
Live Unplugged
$13.49 Of all the metalcore bands that have come and gone over the span of the genre's history, Living Sacrifice has remained a band who never showed a sign of weakness. This is a band who, time and time again, release superior metal albums, always providing above-average albums over their decade as a band. Many proclaimed 2000's The Hammering Process as the group's ultimate release, and, in fact, one of the genre's best offerings that ...
