And soon work then began on their debut album at the legendary Philia Studios (Earthtone9, Stamping ground, Vacant stare, Panic Cell, etc). Produced By the incredible Pete Brown (Sam Brown, Anathema, Fony etc), the album soon saw the definitive rock sound which was required. Love G G:s story told by friendsThe making of the cd "Gustav Magnusson"Hidden behind a letterbox in the center of a Swedish town called Norrköping lies Gustav Magnussons cd “The Söderåkra Session”. It's a friend of producer Jacob Alm who has hidden the record at this location while he jumps off and on the passing train between Västerås and Karlskrona. Later the same night the producer gets the mysterious message “package delivered”. Producer Jacob, who is on his way home from a very late party, is prepared for anything. Out of curiosity he takes the route past the letterbox in the early hours of the morning. He finds the recording. And then what happens? Gustav and Jacob hook up during summer 2005 and that's the start of an exciting collaboration in DAVES recording studio in Norrköping. After a month filled with fantastic musicians and more friends than you can count, seven of the tunes are complete.Gustav goes of to the “ Ballymalloe Cookery School ” in Ireland and returns with monkfish. He is greeted by thick winter snow in Sweden . The record is completed and Gustav is off again. This time to family on Hawaii where he plays at pubs, cafés and twice on “Hawaiian Public Radio” (KIPO), resulting in coverage on theartsofhonolulu.com. In Sweden the biggest festival after Roskilde , ie the Hultsfredsfestival, wants him to join, Gustav returns for final mastering. His new cover and homepage hits the scene. Gustav is born in Stockholm , moved to Norway long enough to say something odd in Norwegian. He grew up in Malmoe, outside Copenhagen , with his dad. He would meet his mother on Hawaii with ukuleles. He sang in choirs and played piano at his granny's place when he was big enough to reach the pedals. His funky guitar teacher advised him to try on his own and he did. Malmö being the musical south of Sweden he meet a whole bunch of musicians. They started their own band called “Building Bears”. When Gustav moves to study architecture the band splits. He ends up playing on his own in a space not much bigger than his student bed. His mates at university walk around the grounds humming his tunes and demand a cd. Gustav is forced to go off to a tiny studio in a barn outside his university town Karlskrona and spend his last Swedish kroner on four ...

One of the last performances of the Beach Boys' original lineup was a cold and drizzly open-air show at Knebworth, in England, in 1980. Though obviously struggling with the adverse conditions (as well as the debilitated condition of both Brian and Dennis Wilson), the band performs a creditable set that stretches from its early days (a rousing "Be True to Your School") through its classic period with "Heroes and Villains," "God Only Knows," and "Good Vibrations," and later songs like the Bach-flavored "Lady Linda."
