A routine scientific experiment goes terribly wrong and an explosive shakes the city. A scientific team investigates, clashing with an intergalactic, voltage-devouring creature that vaporizes them. By 7 A.M., a chain of earthquakes is tearing the city apart while a massive swirling black hole is consuming the remains. By midnight, the Pentagon initiates a nuclear attack against the black hole, scientist Eric Bryce (Judd Nelson) has only one hour to find a solution to obliterate the alien and the colossal black hole before mankind is annihilated. Kirsty Swanson and David Selby also star. Extras include featurette and more. The residents of St. Louis are in for quite a nightmare as a science-experiment-gone-wrong yields a monster and a black hole capable of swallowing up whole regions. Black Hole DVD
$31.29 Director Michael Bay (ARMAGEDDON, THE ROCK) uses a tragic romantic triangle to set the stage for the infamous Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in this epic tale of love, loss, and patriotism. When Evelyn (Kate Beckinsale), a beautiful Navy nurse, meets dashing ace Army fighter pilot Rafe (Ben Affleck), the two fall madly in love, only to be separated abruptly when he is called upon to help fight the war in Europe. Unforeseen circumstances lead Evelyn into the arms of Danny (Josh Hartnett), another fighter pilot and Rafe's best friend since childhood. In the meantime, the Japanese military is planning the surprise early morning raid on Hawaii that will pull the United States into World War II. Spectacular special effects vividly recreate the attack in devastating detail as bombs explode, torpedoes shoot through the water, and bullets fly, shaking tranquil Pearl Harbor to its core. Bay deftly captures the patriotism and the loss of innocence of the young men and women who were suddenly thrust into the war. Cuba Gooding, Jr., Jon Voight, Alec Baldwin and Mako also star in this tribute to both the fallen and the survivors of one ...
| | Nick Knight DVD (1989)
Black Hole movie DVD
$6.55 Though perhaps best known for his 1980s hit "Jessie's Girl", Rick Springfield also enjoyed another successful career as an actor, doing credible work in a number of smaller features. In this television movie, Springfield stars as detective Nick Knight, a brooding loner who works the night shift and lives with a horrible secret: he's really a vampire. When Nick is assigned to a particularly gruesome murder, he finds himself saddled with a new partner and digging deeper into a case that pits him against both his immortal nemesis and a psychotic killer. Also the basis for the mid-1990s series FOREVER KNIGHT, NICK KNIGHT is an atmospheric, creepy, and well made thriller.
Nick Knight is a Los Angeles homicide detective with a solo nightshift, a '59 Cadillac and a very ...

Black Hole DVD
$28.65 Inspired by Fyodor Dostoyevsky's classic novel CRIME AND PUNISHMENT, Robert Bresson's PICKPOCKET tells the story of a man whose attraction to crime threatens to condemn him forever--spiritually as well as physically. Michel (Martin LaSalle), a young thief, is caught one afternoon, breaking his dying mother's heart and shocking his friends. Fortunately for Michel, the police inspector (Jean Pélégri) is unable to prosecute him, but the implications nonetheless sour Michel's once firm social standing. Trying to straighten his ways, Michel is again drawn to the criminal world, where under the tutelage of a master pickpocket he reverts back to thievery. All the while, his conscience nags at him, in the memory of his deceased mother as well as in the presence of Jeanne (Marika Green), a beautiful young woman who shows compassion toward the troubled Michel. Eventually, Michel's lucky streak ends, forcing him to find redemption in the most ironic of circumstances. Using his now-legendary simplistic storytelling style, Bresson is able to elevate his story to a supremely spiritual state, making for a stunningly powerful viewing experience. Delivering their lines slowly and somberly, the actors give the audience even more time for inner reflection, resulting in a cinematic masterwork.
Robert Breson's masterful investigation of crime and redemption tells the story of the young, arrogant Michel (Martin LaSalle) ...
