 Soundtrack moves long movie along nicely
King Kong is a fine remake, albeit, too long. High production values make this movie a visual delight for those who love to look at Manhattan during the depression era. The clothes and the cars, and the glorious skyscrapers that shot to the great blue vault above during this memorable era are presented with the soundtrack always moving us along, making this experience completely satisfying, The jungle scenes are too long, and this movie could be a bit tedious, if not for the soundtrack. King Kong is a love story. In the remake of King Kong, Beauty loves the beast very much.....more so than she did in the original version. The soundtrack accentuates that love, in many scenes. Kong has never been on ice before, and the music combined with Beauty and Kong sliding and skating in wonderment on the ice in Central Park....this is the kind of mesmerizing scene that is both a visual and auditory delight. Great soundtrack!
