Purchase Still Busy CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Alice Cooper Love It To Death CD (1971) Gold
Still Busy album
$19.10 Whereas Alice Cooper's first two studio albums, 1969's PRETTIES FOR YOU and 1970's EASY ACTION, tended more towards the trippy excesses of the hippie era, their next one, 1971's LOVE IT TO DEATH introduced the world to the heavy sound that Cooper would ...
| | Joe Walsh Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get CD (1973) Gold
Still Busy CD music
$19.10 "Rocky Mountain Way," the tune that opens Joe Walsh's sophomore release (and remains one of his best-known songs), is a textbook example of Walsh's strengths. The song is driven by a slinky hard rock groove that boasts crunchy, distorted guitars, barrelhouse piano, wiry solos, and a catchy, singalong chorus--proving Walsh's penchant for mixing rock elements and radio-ready accessibility with a sense ...
| | John Mayer Battle Studies CD (2009)
Still Busy music CDs
$12.95 It's no secret that John Mayer is a 21st Century Fox, wining and dining women all through tabloid headlines, so it's about time he delivered an album that traded upon his loverman persona -- and Battle Studies is that record in spades. Retaining more than a modicum of the slick, soul-blues undertones of Continuum, Mayer fashions a modern groove album, a record that maintains a smooth seductive vibe so thoroughly it spills into a one-man band cover of "Crossroads." Mayer remains somewhat of a disciple of Slowhand, but he shows an unusual interest in the big AOR stylings of Journeyman, along with Stevie Ray Vaughan's In Step, creating a coolly clean blend of synths and Strats, one that's as much about texture as it is about song.something perfectly appropriate for a make-out album like this. Sometimes, Mayer dips too heavily toward the texture, but he can't resist a good, tight melody and builds the bulk of Battle Studies upon them: the elegant "Half of My Heart," the softly soulful "Perfectly Lonely." Here, Mayer ...
| | The Very Best Of Enya CDs (2009) With DVD
Still Busy songs
$21.00 Comprised of 18 tracks culled from the singer/composer's first three decades, The Very Best of Enya was pieced together by the artist herself, along with longtime collaborators Nicky and Roma Ryan. Luckily, the trio seems enamored by most of the same songs that the general public is, resulting in one of those rare "greatest-hits" collections that goes deep without depriving the listener of the essentials. With tunes like "Orinoco Flow," "Caribbean Blue," and "Book of Days" in the pot and out of the way, it's easier to appreciate hidden gems like "Cursum Perficio," "Boadicea," "Trains and Winter Rains," and "Anywhere Is." Also notable is the inclusion of "May It Be" and a previously unreleased version of "Aníron (I Desire)," both of which originally appeared on the soundtrack for the first chapter of Peter Jackson's beloved Lord of the Rings trilogy. ~ James Christopher Monger

| | Shonen Knife Pretty Little Baka Guy CD (1986) Bonus Tracks; Remastered
Still Busy CD music
$8.29 This collection contains 1 complete Shonen Knife maxi-EP, PRETTY LITTLE BAKA GUY (1986), and live material.
This was the first of Shonen Knife's first few albums to be released outside of the group's native Japan. These three women have all the garage abandon of the Ramones along with the innocent fun of Saturday morning cartoons. Several of these spunky songs become popular favorites with established fans, and alerted neophytes to the existence of the trio. Two such tracks are "I Wanna Eat Choco Bars" and "Ice Cream City," as the band's combination of pop smarts and love of music makes up for any lack of instrumental polish. Of course, it's this unyielding commitment to playing and writing that's part of the Shonen Knife's charm. The American release was appended with additional tracks recorded live in Osaka, Japan.
Anyone doubting the authenticity of Shonen Knife as legit ...
