$14.45 After the dark and chilling themes of 2006's BLACK CADILLAC, which saw Rosanne Cash dealing with the deaths of her mother, Vivian Liberto, her father, Johnny Cash, and her stepmother, June Carter Cash -- all of whom passed within a two-year span -- one might assume that her next project would move into an even deeper level ...

| | Rolling Stones Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!: In Concert CDs (1970) With Book; With DVD; Anniversary Edition; Limited Edition
Learning To Live CD music
$72.19 Recorded live at Madison Square Garden, New York, New York on November 27-28, 1969.
Returning to the American concert scene after a three-year layoff, the Rolling Stones recorded GET YER YA-YA'S OUT! during a triumphant two-date stand at Madison Square Garden in late November 1969 that found B.B. King and Ike & Tina Turner opening for them. Having amassed an impressive recorded output during their three years away from touring, the Stones peppered their sets with hits, including "Honky Tonk Women," "Jumpin' Jack Flash," and "Street Fighting Man." Tipping their collective hats to Chuck Berry, the band also included covers of "Carol" and "Little Queenie" alongside more blues-influenced numbers such as "Stray Cat Blues" and "Love In Vain."
Having been a member of John ...

Learning To Live music CDs
$10.89 "Thank U" was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
Alanis has a lot to answer for; in the process of changing the face of '90s pop music, she opened the door to scores of inferior imitators who crowded the charts with their transparent careerist fury. What they missed was the renegade spirit that lurks beneath Morissette's statements ...

| | Doobie Brothers Doobie's Choice CD (2002)
Learning To Live album
$5.95 Additional personnel includes: Arlo Guthrie (autoharp); Victor Feldman (marimba, percussion); The Memphis Horns.
Recorded between 1972 and 1991. Includes liner notes by Barry Alfonso.
As the title indicates, the 20 tracks that comprise Doobie's Choice are songs that the Doobie Brothers themselves chose as highlights in their vast catalog. This isn't just the classic years, which should be evident the moment the album begins and "Divided Highway," from 1991's Brotherhood, starts playing. And from that moment on, it's clear that this album will prove that old axiom true -- namely, that an artist is not always the best judge of their own work. That's not to say that this record is filled with arcane, unusual choices, since there are quite a few songs that really are among the best album tracks in the Doobie's catalog -- and, yes, they were a band that did have good songs not released as singles -- but overall, this plays as a little bit too idiosyncratic to be appealing to most listeners, even those looking to dig a little deeper into the Doobie's catalog. It has its merits, but ...
