The results of the Montreal experimental ambient group Set Fire To Flames's 2001 five-day recording project are hypnotically beautiful and sometimes hallucinatory, set against the background of a bustling city going about its business. In a set that's by turns field recording and instrumental commentary, improvisations on guitars, percussion, violin, and an array of found instruments are manipulated into a cohesive whole, with the results transcending the sum of their parts.
