Closed Captioned; Standard Screen; Soundtrack English; Soundtrack Spanish; English Subtitles Created by producer Irwin Allen (LOST IN SPACE, THE POSEIDEN ADVENTURE), this vintage show from the early 1960s follows two young scientists, Tony Newman (James Darren) and Doug Phillips (Robert Colbert), as they head up the ambitious government project Tic Toc. During a demonstration of their prototype for a time travel portal, Tony impulsively tries it out, landing on the Titanic just before it sinks. Naturally, Doug dives in after him, and they get stuck in an endless adventure as they travel through time, hoping that eventually their colleagues will figure out how to retrieve them. This collection includes many of the show's best episodes, and features appearances by a wide range of guest stars. Time Tunnel - Vol. 1 Movie Review Average Rating: (4.9 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Classic orginal sixies TV show It was a product of its time. An advanced insight into future technology.
Very gripping entertaining stories with the best special effects for the period.
You are drawn in with every moment with action packed suspense. The episodes were ahead of there time, barely dated except for the fashion. But none the less a classic 60's TV show, up there with Star Trek, Lost in Space and Land of the Giants. Both thumbs up to this classic favourite.

At Last Sci Fi As It Was. It has been said in most press releases that The Time Tunnel was Irwin Allen's favorite show of those he created & produced in the 60's... and I tend to agree. This was a series that had HUGE potential and a great concept and it is a pity that it didn't get to have a better run.
The DVD itself is great but a thumbs down to FOX for not celebrating its release a bit better and giving us a few more special features that fans of the show would really love. Having no audio at all in the Irwin Allen Home Movies was a bit of a cheap cop out on their part as there must be a thousand voiceover people or origianl actors of the series that could have been commenting. Come on FOX spend a little more money and go all out!!!
The series will remain one of the TV greats and a MUST HAVE for any Irwin Allen fan! Look forward to Vol.2. Submitted by Michael (Auckland, New Zealand) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
In my memory I have waited more than 40 years to be able to see this series again. In my memory it was recorded the last image that I remember and it was that of the chapter 7. In that time they dinn't have televisions to color and me I saw part of the black and white series. They only emitted it until the chapter 7 and it is one enjoyed to be able to see it again although the decorations were always the same ones.It is appreciating that companies like the Fox or Universal they have the detail of putting subtitles in series and movies in spanish. Whit this series I undelete a part of my childhood that I thought not to undelete. I hope impatiently they publish the second season of this series that I consider one of the best of Irwin Allen. Seems only like yesterday!! This great series from the USA was one of my all-time favourites. Now that I have been able to purchase half of the series on DVD, I can't wait for the second set to come out! Tony & Doug fall through time and manage to get into and out of trouble in each episode, the main reason I wanted to buy this set was to find out what happens in the final episode. I never did get to see it. Submitted by barry.whittingham (Nottingham, Great Britain) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
