| action Sci-fi with intelligence
This is good action Sci-fi with some intelligence thrown in. The Photography is excellent, the editing is spot on, and the acting is above average for this type of film. The score is appropriate and not cheesy. I found some interest in the characters. Their storylines were deep enough to get me to care about them. The digital transfer to DVD is excellent.

| Film better than I expected
After the bad press & disappointing box office when the film was release I did have mixed feelings about the film. So, now that I have purchased the DVD & seen the film I am happy. Not the best film ever made, but I did enjoy it. 2005 press made it sound like it was a film full of things blowing up. These scenes did NOT even start until over an hour after the film began. True, some scenes & situations you could see coming a mile a way. I knew Djmon?s character would turn at the end. I was, however, TRULY DISAPPOINTED about how little Michael was used in the film. 2 scenes & his character on a bill board. THAT WAS IT!! Why did the credits NOT read "Special Appearance BY Michael Clarks Duncan"? Liked Ewan in the film. Over all an enjoyable action film. DVD package-I HATE, HATE, HATE, these packages with the little flip down openings. THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!

If you enjoyed Logans Run, you have to see this, even if you have`nt this is a great movie, one of the best ive seen in a very long time...

| Awesome action...pure Michael Mann!
If you overlook some of the obvious plot holes, you'll simply enjoy this fun ride through the highly plausible not-too-distant future. Mann takes what he knows about action and doubles it: the chase seens, especially on the freeway, can't be missed, and are chalk-full of adrenaline. Even though it did poorly domestically, it still raked in over $160 million worldwide. Just goes to show the rest of the planet might have a clue.
