Heavenly music
What can I add to what C. P. E. Bach said of Mozart´s music? He believed on festive days the angels played his music for all to hear and (I believe) probably with someone of P. Badura-Skoda´s excellence to execute it on an instrument sounding as this one, contemporary to the one Mozart used to compose his works.

Mozartian "grace" with crystaline structure
Most of Badura-Skoda's 60 plus recordings had pretty much diappeared from the catalogue by the late 60's. Few seem to have remembered or cared about the brio and charm he brought to Mozart, especially in those early 50's Westminster Lps. Here it is again with an added depth and his matured mastery in the complete Mozart piano sonatas on his own antique piano. No "grace" is not to be confused with elegance!!!

Perfection in a Box
The level of quality of this set is unbeatable.Badura-Skoda's playing is simply stunning as the complete clarity of the recordings,thus being my favorite set of Mozart's wonderful piano sonatas .Mitsuko Uchida's set simply doesn't match it,although is a lovely one.
