INXS's search for a lead singer took the form of a reality TV show à la AMERICAN IDOL, and the performances featured here are those of the six finalists: Jordis, Suzie, J.D., Marty, Ty, and Mig. While not the actual episodes of the show, the song list features a wide range of excellent numbers (Suzie's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and Marty's rendition of the Killers' "Mr. Brightside" come to mind), and a mini-concert of the first INXS performance with new singer J.D. Fortune is also included.

Rock Star Rocks The House Reality TV scores a big het. American Idol with Tattoos and a heavy beat. This DVD features the best of the live performances of the first season show.
