EYES IN THE NIGHT
Much to Norma Lawry's (Ann Harding) dismay, her one-time boyfriend "has-been actor Paul Gerente (John Emery)"is dating her seventeen-year-old stepdaughter Barbara (Donna Reed). When Paul is found murdered, Norma recruits the help of blind detective Duncan MacLain (Edward Arnold) rather than go to the police. But when they return to the scene of the crime, they discover the actor's body is mysteriously missing. Noting the scent of violets in the room, MacLain uses this small clue to uncover a conspiracy far greater than simple murder.
THE KENNEL MURDER CASE
A classic detective film, The Kennel Murder Case serves up an intricate murder mystery with plenty of suspects. When much-despised Archer Coe (Robert H. Barrat) is discovered dead in a locked room, cops think it's a case of suicide. Detective Philo Vance (William Powell) believes differently, however, and his suspicions are confirmed when the coroner discovers that Coe's death resulted from trauma inflicted by a blunt instrument, stabbing, and a gun shot. Now Vance must determine which of Coe's many enemies is guilty of the dirty deed, as well as figure out how the culprit committed the crime in a room locked from the inside...
THE LIMPING MAN
Former U.S. soldier Frank Pryor (Lloyd Bridges) arrives in London's Heathrow Airport to visit his wartime flame, Pauline French (Moira Lister), and unwittingly walks into a deadly conspiracy. As Pryor makes his way from the plane to the terminal, a passenger walking beside him is gunned down by an unseen sniper. Scotland Yard questions Pryor, and then releases him. When he arrives at Pauline's apartment, he is shocked to learn that she knows the slain man and seems to know more about the shooting than she's letting on. Many more surprises are in store for Frank when he finds out the assassinated man is very much alive and not the person he's thought to be.
THE SPY IN WHITE
A guard is fired after starting a fight with an Arab prince who sets his lustful sights on his girlfriend. The girl's father, appreciative of his chivalry, offers him a job managing a tobacco warehouse in Turkey. Once there, he falls for a Russian woman who is being used by the Arab prince to overthrow the Turkish government. With the help of a former colleague and his girlfriend, the trio attempts to stop the prince and save Turkey in this swift-moving actioner.
