There is nothing special about this album, nothing original. "Light of day, day of darkness" was a much better release.

Highly enjoyable album. Far different than the other material they've done, but very pleasing nonetheless. I keep listening to it over and over.

5 stars Pure Enjoyment
Green Carnation prove metal doesn't have to be all heavy guitars and screaming vocals. This album is full of quality metal in it's purest form and as such the skilled song writing is allowed to show through. It still has power and emotion without being overpowering.

When Nirvana and Pearl Jam exploded commercially in the early '90s and alternative rock became mainstream, a lot of '80s headbangers fell by the wayside. Pop-metal hair bands (Poison, Warrant) and gothic-themed fantasy metallers (Iron Maiden, King Diamond) both went out of vogue, and in this brave new rock world, the headbangers who were considered cutting edge embraced alternative metal (which could be anything from Ministry to Sevendust to Rage Against the Machine). A ground breaking instrumentalist and self-taught guitarist has established a unique sound in acoustic & electric guitar. Donald Jeffrey Ilory Williams, Jr. started to play the piano at just 4 years old and along the way picked up the guitar, the bass, drums, and clarinet and became quite proficient at all of them. Now DJ is amazing crowds everywhere with his guitar wizardry backed up by his 5 piece "Projekt". The last several years have been very productive for DJ Williams as he got the chance to play up and down the east coast, sharing the stage with Keller Williams, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Lake Trout, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Marc Broussard, Citizen Cope, Perpetual Groove, Benevento/ Russo Duo, playing the Moon Music Showcase in New York, just to name a few.
