| I Love This Show!
Outlaw Star - Complete Collection video Ever since I saw it on Cartoon Network, I thought it was a well thought out and imaginative show. When I realized I had seen the edited version and the DVD was the uncensored original, I had to have it! Now, the story is even better. If you're an Anime Head/Otaku, add this to your collection.

A Good Series. I watched them all, twice on television, before my purchase. Good entertainment from star"t" to finish. A good purchase for a very good price. I will watch them again!!

i haven't finishe the entire set yet but from what I've seen, the Cartoon Network left out more of the story than I ever would have imagined. I feel like i know the characters better now that I've seen a few episodes un-cut.

| Much better than the version shown on Toonami...
Outlaw Star - Complete Collection film Outlaw Star is a sci-fi anime that is most similar to Cowboy Bebop in genre. Outlaw Star - Complete Collection review Bounty Hunters, space ships and a small crew that somehow gets along despite their differences. However, that is where the similarity to Cowboy Bebop ends. Outlaw Star is the adventerous story of Gene Starwind. I first saw Outlaw Star on Cartoon Network's Toonami years ago. However the show was edited to be suitable for that channel. (Those were the pre-Adult Swim days. ) Even edited the show was still fantastic. Seeing the the DVD version of the show in its original form is all the better. The show can be seen and heard the way it was intended to be, and you get a better sense of the characters personalities. In the Toonami version we all knew that Gene was somewhat of a ladies man. In this version we can clearly see that he is quite the ladies man and somewhat of a pervert at times too. Main character differences aside, Outlaw Star looks great on DVD. Though old, the animation is clean and crisp. A lot of the backgrounds are nicely done and quite vibrant in some places. Included in this boxset is of course all 26 episodes, including the one that wasn't shown on Cartoon Network. (It was the Hot Springs special and was too racy for TV. ) If you've only seen Outlaw Star on Cartoon Network, I highly recommend the Perfect Collection box set. At a price much lower than most anime box sets, it's practically a steal.

| GUNSMOKE MEET ROBOTECH
I like the Outlaw Star series ever since Toonami started airing it on Cartoon Network and it is even better in the uncensored version. CHECK IT OUT!!
