Released in 1988, Helloween's third full-length studio album firmly established the band as a force on the international scene. KEEPER OF THE SEVEN KEYS PART II expanded beyond their neo-progressive and Iron Maiden influences, and allowed Helloween to lay the blueprint for the entire power metal movement. Rich with equal amounts of emotive drama, theatrical pomp, and musical humor, KEEPERS invokes the triumphs of the human spirit through grandiose songwriting and Michael Kiske's anthemic vocal style. The album also features perennial favorites "Dr. Stein" and "I Want Out", which are spotlighted in Helloween's live performances to this day.

A year after winning a Grammy Award for best metal album--an award that was the occasion for much mirth in the critical community--Jethro Tull returned with an album that nobody would ever mistake for metal but nonetheless rocked harder and more authoritatively than anything the group had recorded in years. Although leader/flute guy Ian Anderson sounds rather more Lennonesque than one remembers, guitarist Martin Barre's riffing and slide work recall the band's early '70s heyday, while the new songs (check out "Sparrow on the Schoolyard Wall") manage to split the difference between Tull's English folk and blues roots with alacrity. A keeper.

Don has appeared on the same bill with artists such as Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Ja Rule, Run DMC, The Wu Tang Clan, Nas, Lil’ Flip, Eminem, etc. from The Fox Theater in Boulder, to Fiddler’s Green Amphitheater. In addition to a first-class stage show, self-produced tracks, and sharp rhyming skills, Don produces tracks for other artists, radio stations, and athletic franchises in his private studio, The Hempshack.With his first release, Capo Di Tutti Capi, Don Blas paved a path for Colorado artists on KS 107.5, Denver’s #1 radio station for Hip-Hop and R&B, while building a well-respected image for himself within the consumer audience. Regular spins on the airwaves created a chain reaction in Don’s young career. Capo Di Tutti Capi featured guest appearances by Suga T of ‘The Click’ and Dreddy Krueger of ‘Sons of Man’.
