$34.95 Believe in Angels.Believe in Me marks the solo debut of Angel, alumnus of third-tier teen pop act No Secrets. Its rhythms and lyrical themes are a bit more mature than your average Radio Disney pap - Angel's going for pop-R&B here, for the most part, as "Lessons in Love" and "Chinese Whispers" prove. "Believe in Angels" and "Wild Guess" opt for slightly more dance-oriented feel, while "Just the Way I Am" and the sassy "Mama's Little Girl" utilize the success-proven formula of a crunchy, processed electric guitar over clicky push-button percussion. A couple of late-album ballads are purely functionary. ~ Johnny Loftus

$16.45 Crank it up!! **Stock Cars & Choppers** The first track on this disc “Wheels with Fi-yer” was inspired by the “Need for Speed” in Stock Car Racing! The catalyst for this album came from the legendary days of “Thunder Road” when Moon shiners roared down the back roads of the old South and throughout Appalachia. If not for the Moon Shine Haulers we would not have organized Stock Car Racing of today! “Thunder Road” is where Stock Car Racing got its start, a fact that some organizations would like to forget! The other influence for this album comes from the wind in your face joy and excitement of Motorcycling! These songs written by Tom Morris, are a living testament to his experiences growing up around Stock Car Racing in the ...

Haraaji No Natsuten Soundtrack music CDs
$12.69 "Take the piano chops of Tori Amos, the self-confessional lyrics of Fiona Apple, the melodic sensibility of Sarah McLachlan and the grit of Rachael Yamagata, mix it all together and you have the sheer brilliance that is singer/songwriter BETH ARENTSEN." - Perez Hilton With emotionally charged lyrics, a head-turning voice, and a commanding stage presence that is uniquely her own, Beth Arentsen boldly forges forward in the tradition of singer- songwriter greats -- from Laura Nyro to Kate Bush to Alanis Morissette -- on her fourth release, Nicer. Self-produced by Arentsen with Lenae A. Harris, mixed by Eric Yoder, and mastered by Tony Gillis, Nicer fuses together the two milieus of Arentsen's musical roots: acoustic-based melodies and edgy electronic production. Says the New York-New Jersey based artist, "After my solo debut Sap, I continued to compose melodies on piano, but I knew that I wanted to set these pieces apart from my previous work. They stand alone when performed on piano, but I think they really thrive in their new pop-synth world." Indeed, the songs range from the propulsive Eurythmics-inspired beats of the title track to the haunting soundscape of "Earthquake," a song that never ceases to garner voracious seals of approval from Arentsen's audience. That audience expanded exponentially this past summer when the legendary Nona Hendryx invited Beth Arentsen to inaugurate HopeStock: Music to Bailout Your Soul, a NYC-based concert series featuring both emerging and established artists. Arentsen performed dates that included stops at Merkin Hall, SOB's, Housing Works, and Guild Hall (East Hampton, NY). Joining artists like Bobby Long, Maiysha, Martha ...
