| | Pussy Cat Dolls PCD CD Pussy Cat Dolls Discography of CDs
(3 Customer Reviews)
With roots in the Los Angeles burlesque scene, the Pussycat Dolls are a blatantly sensual dance-pop group, as revealed on their debut, PCD. Led by vocalist Nicole Scherzinger, the Dolls excel at steamy club workouts, most notably the slinky, strip-joint-ready "Don't Cha," which features rapper Busta Rhymes, and an electronica-tinged take on the 1980s Soft Cell hit "Tainted Love."
Exclusive UK version features two bonus tracks; 'Sway' and 'We Went As Far As We Felt Like Going'. Universal. 2005. Pussy Cat Dolls PCD Songs | 1. | Don't Cha | |

| PCD Music Review Average Rating: (4.3 out of 5 stars) GooD This album is hot, but something's missing: Buttons with Big Snoop Dogg. Submitted by Tom (Zagreb, Croatia) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Awesome When I first heard Don't Cha in the clubs and on the radio I decided I couldn't wait until their debut full length album came out. I love the CD. It has a lot of club bangers and some slower ballods. My fav songs are Beep, Buttons, Wait A Minute, Stickwitchu, How Many Time (How Many Lies), and Don't Cha. I definitely love this CD and look forward to their sophomore album. Submitted by kazoo424 (Kenmore, NY) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

PCD album
$11.18 After his aborted, internet-leaked 2008 album, 12 PLAY: 4TH QUARTER, R. Kelly busied himself with guest spots for Beyonce, T-Pain, and Kanye West, even offering a free download on iTunes, "I Believe," inspired by the election of president Barack Obama. While such moves insured that Kelly would never stray far from the R&B throne he's occupied for more than a decade, his 2009 reboot of 12 PLAY, UNTITLED, should provide more than enough reason for fans to keep coming back for more. From Auto Tune-laden crowd pleasers like "Outta the Game" and "Crazy Night" to rousing club-oriented numbers like "Echo," Kelly downplays the slower "baby-making" jams this time around for a set of largely up-tempo songs, capped by a sultry collaboration with Keri Hilson ("Number One").

| | Pink Funhouse CD (2008) Explicit
PCD music CDs
$8.99 Pink's insistently hooky, attitude-filled pop-rock has kept the singer a fixture on the radio and on singles charts since the early 2000s. The artist's fifth effort, FUNHOUSE, doesn't tamper with the formula: Pink's powerhouse vocals and in-your-face approach, backed by stadium-sized production, are in full effect on all 12 tracks. Even though the album deals primarily with aftermath of her divorce and includes serious moments of self-confrontation like "Sober," fans needn't worry that Pink has lost any of her chutzpah.
If anything, there's an increased sense of confidence and newfound liberation on tracks like the chest-thumping "So What" and the mischievous, bouncing "Bad Influence." In softer moments, like the ballad "I Don't Believe You" and the soulful "One Wrong Foot," Pink channels her personal experience into expressions that carry no less strength or muscle. But FUNHOUSE is a pop album first and foremost, and its catchy choruses, rollicking ...
| | Al Jarreau Christmas CD (2008)
PCD songs
$9.09 For the past few decades, Al Jarreau has established himself as a truly modern jazz singer, one for the post-fusion generation--those who grew up with the sounds of the cordial contemporary jazz of George Benson, Spyro Gyra, and Herbie Hancock. CHRISTMAS is Jarreau's first-ever collection of holiday songs on which he wraps his supple, honeyed vocal chords around some traditional Christmas classics. Jazz vocal combo Take 6 lend their voices for "I'll Be Home For Christmas" and the considered, varied arrangements of Jay Graydon and Jarreau himself keep the proceedings interesting.

| | Joss Stone Colour Me Free! CD (2009) Import
PCD CD music
$30.38 The "free" in the title to Joss Stone's fourth album apparently refers to the neo-singer breaking free from the shackles of her major label, EMI, who apparently have not let Joss be Joss. That this constricting argument happens to be the exact same story line Stone used for 2007's Introducing Joss Stone, the splashy diva power trip meant to unveil the "real" singer, is conveniently forgotten, as is the modern R&B of that makeover, with Joss returning to all the retro-soul of her first two records. The one lingering element of Introducing is a propensity for melisma-laden oversinging, a tic that stands out in the warmer, funkier settings of Colour Me Free! Still, her raw vocal skills remain impressive, as does her taste in soul, and this does beat with a messy human heart. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

| | Linda Lewis Reach For The Truth: Best Of The Reprise Years 1971-74 CD (2002) (Import) Argentina
PCD album
$14.45 This album collects 23 of the best songs from the versatile folk/jazz/blues/funk vocalist Linda Lewis' four early 1970s albums for the Reprise label.
Although one of her later albums was titled Woman Overboard, singer/songwriter Linda Lewis never made much of a splash in the States. Maybe she was just a little ahead of, or behind, the times with her jazz/pop/soul/folk. Or, more likely, her squeaky little girlish voice just wasn't taken seriously enough in the pre-Cyndi Lauper era. Heavily influenced by Stevie Wonder, she released three very good albums plus the Heartstrings compilation during the titular years, all of which are represented in the anthology Reach for the Truth: Best of the Reprise Years 1971-74. Generously packed with 23 tracks including one previously unreleased selection (a closing acoustic demo version of "Red Light Ladies," the tune that also opens the album), rare photos, extensive liner notes, and track-by-track descriptions from Lewis in the 24-page book, it's hard to imagine a more perfect single-disc representation of her material from these years. Those who caught up with the singer later in her career when she gravitated to her slicker disco/pop mode (exemplified by her version of Betty Everett's "The Shoop Shoop Song"), might find this more ...
