| | Sherbs Skill CD (1980)
Essential Collection 1995-2005 CD music
$10.55 Except for first-class radio ringer "I Have the Skill," this record requires a modicum of work. But those who lock themselves inside the crystalline production recapture the lost prog of near-icons Gamma and Saga. This Aussie aggregate was once Sherbet, a '70s sensation down under, here striving for a more mature market, though a quirky pop sense still prevails, paving the way for Men at Work. On "Back to Zero," everyone's favorite null set gets delineated three years before saving the Fixx. "Crazy in the Night" could pass for Marillion (but can't touch the Kim Carnes dandy of the same name). The quintet ...

Essential Collection 1995-2005 album
$18.59 Iron Maiden's live album DEATH ON THE ROAD captured the heavy-metal legends at a stop on their 2003 tour, which promoted both that year's DANCE OF DEATH and the best-of collection EDWARD THE GREAT. Recorded at the Westfalenhalle Arena in Dortmund, Germany, this concert film presents DEATH ON THE ROAD in visual form, with Maiden tearing through newer fare from DANCE OF DEATH as well as older classics like "Can I Play with Madness" and "The Trooper" for a potent showcase of singer Bruce Dickinson's soaring vocals and the band's trademark three-guitar assault.
This 3 DVD package is the companion to the double live CD released in 2005. Filmed in Dortmund, Germany during the 2003 Dance of Death Tour, this collection fully captures the incredible stage production and electricity ...
| | U2 - Popmart: Live From Mexico City DVD (1998) DTS Sound
Essential Collection 1995-2005 CD music
$10.55 Since becoming wildly popular in the 1980s, Irish band U2's sound has grown from a raw, soulful rock to a more electronica-tinged, experimental brand of pop. In line with this, U2's stage act has grown into a showcase of lavish special effects, cutting-edge sound, and spectacular multimedia enhancement. ...

| | Sons Of Otis X CD (2005)
Essential Collection 1995-2005 songs
$12.15 Some cynical pundits would argue that Sons of Otis' albums have long served little purpose other than to pay the bills between live performances, where, with the help of spinning lights and billowing dry ice smoke, the trio's sludgy space/stoner/psych/doom metal always comes across significantly more powerful than has ever been heard on plastic. But, having said that, one must admit that 2005's Billy Anderson-produced X (so named for commemorating the band's first decade of activity) and its wealth of far more focused and infinitesimally more coherent offerings (see quintessential Otis fare like "Way I Feel," "Relapse," "1303" and "Help Me"), clearly improves upon 2001's disappointing and unbelievably turgid Songs for Worship album. As always, we're talking cosmic nod music of the nearly intractable kind here; echo-swamped vocals and drums wafting through the repetitive drone unleashed by guitar and bass mainstays Ken Bluke and Frank Sargeant, as they regularly defy conventional rock attention spans and redefine listening habits. In either regard, their idiosyncratic methods are guaranteed to thrill and bore to tears equal measures of lovers and haters, ...

| | Bill Hartzell Different Agenda CD (2007)
Essential Collection 1995-2005 CD music
$11.49 In an age where music is increasingly driven by corporations, profit margins, and calculated marketing, Bill Hartzell has a Different Agenda. On the album Different Agenda, Bill shares a variety of music, with the common thread of challenging the musicians to explore and inviting the listener along for the ride. Acoustic sounds blend and contrast with the electronic, melodies percolate and evolve, improvisations reach for the unknown.Listen to the sample tracks here, and then head on over to the "Add to Cart" button and purchase the CD for your collection of eclectic, honest, and exciting music. Bill Hartzell began playing saxophone at age 11, and added guitar a few years later. From 1984 to 1988, he attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. At Berklee, guitar became his principal instrument. Majoring in Commercial Arranging, Bill studied many different composition and writing techniques for all styles of music. During his time at Berklee, Bill also was introduced to film scoring, jingle writing, and using computers in music. After leaving Berklee, Bill stayed in the Boston area, writing music for several independent films, playing guitar (and singing) in rock bands, and also doing live sound mixing for other bands. He also had the opportunity to write and record program music for performers ...
