Reggaeton Club Mix album
$12.79 After 19 years, Grace Jones finally releases a new studio album, and it's a weird one, nostalgic and timeless in equal measure. Her collaborators (including Brian Eno, Tricky, Wendy & Lisa, Sly & Robbie, Tony Allen, and others) set up instrumental backdrops that explicitly recall not only her own early-'80s albums, but also those albums' influence on the later work of Massive Attack, Tricky, et al. At the same time, Jones' old lyrical persona -- the androgynous cyber-demon who uses scorn as an erotic weapon -- has been largely abandoned; only on "Corporate Cannibal" does that version of her reappear, atop a track that sounds inspired by Massive Attack's "Inertia Creeps." ...

$24.79 Recorded between 1962 & 1993. Includes liner notes by Dave Thompson.
Jimmy Cliff has always occupied an odd position in reggae music, first of all because he predates it significantly, but also because for much of his career he merged his musical interests with international pop considerations to the extent that he managed to record frequently for such major labels as Warner, EMI, Universal, and Sony. Although his commercial success was spotty, it was recurrent; he first hit the charts internationally in 1969 and was ...

Reggaeton Club Mix album
$13.95 Skavinjer was started in the Summer of 1997. A couple of guys coming together as Metal Heads wanting to make something of themselves. The world they lived in was a pretty boring one, one that most bands can tell you make you want to jam and do something fun!! Skavinjer started in a small Rez in Southern AZ known as the Tohono O’odham Nation. With very little support and many challenges that faced them, they looked at the world through Metal Eyes and knew that only their own perseverance was the only thing that would get them what they wanted. The Lead Guitarist and the Drummer, Jayare and 7, wanted to make a difference in the world they lived in. Jayare, having a musical backround, knew a couple of songs and chords on the guitar, and 7 not knowing a damn thing, wanted to play just to kill time. Once they felt that feeling of how much it made them feel, the power, the head rush, they wanted to keep jamming and make it more than what it was. Trying their hardest to make original songs was hard for both the guitarist and the drummer. Later on down the road, they pulled in another Metal Head, Toad Man, as the bass player. Making a guitar a bass by carving out the grooves for the strings, fit for Toadie’s bass playing for the time being. The drummer, Agnostik 7, had a crap drum set consisting of no cymbals and a few toms, bass drum, and sticks. Jayare had his Dad’s guitars and 7 also used Jayare’s Dad’s equipment for that time. Later on, we got money that helped us with our own equipment, but still our equipment can always be maintenanced. And updated! Soon following Toady, his younger brother J, fell into the Metal Mix of Skavinjer. Skavinjer invited J to play and has been a member since then. What seemed to be only a good time, we couldn’t tell that down the road each member would gain their own talent and become what it is today. When they first started out it was only to kill time, and maybe start something more. When the music started to flow then it became more than intended. Skavinjer is in the music biz for fun, entertainment, and their own personal passion to become musicians. Their dreams of becoming a well known band, known for talent and just good ol’ head bangin m/!! Skavinjer now consisting of JR, 7, Toady, and J, are ...
