||This is a step ahead of the rest of the pack, I think|
Into the Moat, I thought, is an understatement. The good chunk about this album is simply its approach above all the rest. I don't doubt after repetitive listens to this CD.

just listen to the first two tracks and be convinced: this record has it all. melancholic melody and ferocious agression. yeah that's what they say about all the metalcore bands nowadays, i know, but scarlet is nothing like all those killswitch engage / iron maiden copycats. they really ARE their own style and anyone who sees music as a challenge instead of listening to the boring intro verse chorus verse chorus bridge chorus breakdown bands you see on mtv has no excuse for not bying this great record.

||I'm fully impressed with this CD!|
There's something going on with those dirty little minds of theirs cause this CD is worth it. No more than 36 minutes is gonna blow my ears away after five to six songs in. I'm more blown away on how they can come up with a great title to this CD to start off! This is cool.

I'm a big fan of Scarlet and was a little iffy when I heard "The Separation Of" before the cd was released. Low and behold the CD is released and it does not fail to disapoint. The CD sounds more professional and the new singer adds a great effect with his singing. The first track, "Obsolete", is a great intro to the CD and then "The Swarm Manifesto" comes on and annihalates. Overall a great CD, I think it is better than Cult Classic.

Century Media is not a good label. Heavy metal sucks. While they may not be a "hardcore" band in the most immediate sense, that is the scene they came from and reside. So, guy below me, your criticism of Ferret Music is moot--Ferret is the right label for them. Shut up. Anyway, this album is great. Metalcore with industrial tendencies and clean singing that is actually interesting and not used as a marketing tool. The new singer does a good job and fills the shoes nicely. Great live show as well.
