A collection of Hans Zimmer movie scores written for five productions, including BEYOND RANGOON, BACKDRAFT, and POINT OF NO RETURN, GOOD MORNING AMERICA showcases the German-born composer's remarkable command of cinematic mood. His spare melodies mostly eschew unnecessary drama, as evidenced by his work on RANGOON, but, as the excerpts from BACKDRAFT prove, he's more than capable of bringing out the big orchestral guns when the situation demands.

4 stars Not very good, but works
This is a decent Hans Zimmer compilation album, but I don't see why Milan released this CD with previously released tracks. I already have these tracks, so I don't need to buy this CD. If they really wanted to release something special, they should have add to the tracklisting unreleased material from some early Zimmer projects, especially The Lion King and Rain Man which are really wonderful soundtracks. However, this is a perfect CD for beginner Hans Zimmer listeners. Overall, think twice before buying this CD because you risk to feel sorry later for the money.
