Amazing Spectacle
Great performances by Anthony Quinn, and lessor roles of Sir Laurence Olivier and Sir John Gielgud.
The pomp and ceremony of the death of an old, and installation of a new Pope brilliantly captured on film. Surprisingly similar to the recent change in the Vatican from John Paul II to Benedict XVI.

Anthony Quinn at his best as a russian
clergy man who is free from the soviet
camp in siberia,goes to rome and become pope.You also learn what goes on when a pope dies and a new one is elected.A truly masterpiece
