| funky byrd makes a good groove
If you like funky but smooth 70's funk grooves, weird synths, spaced out muted trumpets...this is the Donald Byrd album you are looking for. Take a sip from your retro cocktail and free yor mind. Works also nice on the dancefloor when you want to add extra soulfull vibes. In a way it also sounds like some Roy Ayers albums.

| No Less than 5 Stars
Although a lot of his followers were a little put out with his new sound, Donald Byrd helped pioneer a style of jazz that still prevails today. Street Lady is just one of many incredible albums produced by Byrd and the all so talented Mizell Bros. Mentioning Chuck Rainey and the seasoned musicians would require much more room than provided. Fantastic album. Own one.
