Although Verve edited a 5-CD box set with all of Peterson's London House recordings, it is no longer available on the market and can only be found at auctions. The trio's London House repertory is vast and showcases the group's extraordinary versatility, performing songs ranging from the traditional Billy Boy, to classic standards and show tunes like 'Chicago', 'I've Never Been In Love Before', 'I Love You', 'Yesterdays' and 'In The Wee Small Hours', to the bebop sounds of 'Woody 'N' You', and 'Tricrotism'. In the glory days of early-'90s noise rock, there was a whole army of bands like Houston's Fatal Flying Guilloteens. For whatever reason, very few acts were producing such a sound a mere decade later, which only puts QUANTUM F*CKING's power in stark relief. Armed with bulldozer blues-punk riffs and threatening rhythms, the Guilloteens remind the listener of no less than former standard-bearers the Jesus Lizard and Tar, and at times even the godfathers of the whole shebang, Nick Cave's anarchic Birthday Party. The teetering sway of the guitars and the gut punch of the bass are offset here by a steady, disciplined drum attack; ragers like the opener, "Hello, Boss!!!," and "Illegal Weapons Party" team up with moodier slow burns like "Reveal the Rats" and "Legion of Serpents" to create a varied but devastating attack.
