| Very Good Cartoon from the creator of Family Guy
American Dad! - The Complete First Season DVD American Dad is a funny little show I caught one day on Fox. American Dad! - The Complete First Season movie I then saw it was released on DVD and picked up Volume 1. It's a pretty good set with 13 episodes, 12 commentaries, and deleted scenes. It's definitely worth a look if you're looking for animation for grown-ups. At times the comedy can come across as racist, but they are still funny. They don't just target one group they get them all which is fair.

American Dad! - The Complete First Season video I just started watching this and I gotta tell ya' it's pretty funny but in a way it reminds me of Family Guy, (which is an all the way extreme funny show) Every time you see the fish you think of Stewie from Family Guy.5 stars, definately a funny show..

| Does'nt come close to Family Guy
American Dad came out at just the right time and it was made by the same guy who created Family Guy,but it's not that funny. It uses the same brand of humor as Family Guy,but it's not nearly as creative. The main characters are overdone and uninteresting. The characters that really stand out are Stan's boss and the preacher. The pinnacle episode of the series is the one where Stan finds out that his daughter is dating his boss. I don't think this is worth buying.
