The first double-CD of original material by a rap artist, ALL EYEZ ON ME marks 2Pac's return from incarceration to the recording grind. And though Tupac Shakur may have spent the better part of 1995 locked up and battling the system, the album makes it obvious that, rather than degenerating his artistic abilities, the struggles have only elevated his skills. Now, with the backing of West Coast hip-hop's first family, Death Row Records, 2Pac gathers ...
| | Bill Heid Wet Streets CD (1999)
Albion: Mini Album
$14.65 Of the three organ combo CD's Heid has recently released he considers this his best. It's different in that he employs two saxophonists, Scott Peterson and Russ Miller. They're excellent foils, for each other and the leader. Add drummer Randy Gelespie, an uncrowned king of the kit, and you have a recording unique unto itself, sporting an ultimately provocative approach beyond that of any other B-3 date you may have ever heard.
On this project Heid also sounds out-of-body, even more animated. His approach is more as a space filler, comping and urging his front liners with pungent, stinging lines that swell and expand. In a more orchestral fashion, he supplies the foundation to this rich, meaty stew. All of the eleven compositions are written by Heid, and they're far ...

$12.65 Brandon Ware aka B.Ware was born in Newport News, VA and later moved to Panama City, FL. With his father being a nightclub DJ, he took to music at a very young age. However, Brandon wanted to entertain, seemingly willing to perform for anyone. Whether it was singing or dancing, he wanted to be in the spotlight. At age 11, he began "voicing over" hip-hop songs until it seemed effortless. About a year later, he advanced to writing his own lyrics. He used his lyrics with many different beats until he had created his own style. By age 13, he began rapping with his friends, mostly freestyling for fun. With suggestions from his father, his lyrics had become more sophisticated, now involving stories instead of just rhymes. His effort to record songs using only a desktop computer convinced his parents to build a music studio in his room so he would have full access to the necessary equipment. With a music studio on hand full time, B.Ware went to work writing lyrics. One thing he didn't have was his own music. So his father, Capital P, began developing beats for him. As beats were being created, Brandon wrote lyrics for each beat. The finishing touches to most songs were enhanced with non-exclusive beats mixed with the beats that were created by Capital P. In 2005, B.Ware created his own mix CD. Mostly, it was freestyling. In hindsight, he realized that he needed assistance producing a CD. Again, Capital P was there to help. The challenge for B.Ware from his father was, "See if you can create a hip-hop CD without profanity that's entertaining". The goal was realized when they worked together to produce the 16 track CD, "Beware of B.Ware". Soon after the "Beware of B.Ware" ...
