Levittown, NJ, emo kids the Bank Robbers return with their third album, bearing a slightly more melodic and pop-friendly sound than their screamier, hardcore-oriented earlier releases. Tomorrow Belongs to Me is a notable improvement, with a more varied sound incorporating both greater musical dynamics and new instruments such as the piano and synthesizer that color most of the record. Unfortunately, even with all of these changes for the better, the Bank Robbers remain merely a competent but undistinguished second-string emo band. The main thing the Bank Robbers have going for them is singer Rob Nardone, whose vocals are as much within the emo tradition as the rest of the band's sound, except that he's a better than average singer who lacks the whiny falsetto edge that makes so many emo singers so irritating; even at his shoutiest, Nardone has a sense of restraint, and on tracks like "Here's Your Song You've Always Wanted" he manages more of a sense of emotional shading than is usual for the style. The problem is that the songs themselves are formulaic indie rock following the lead of better-known (and just plain better) acts like Taking Back Sunday; even the most dedicated fan of the style will likely find songs like "I'll See You in Another Life" and "Facing Our Nightmare" pleasant but forgettable. ~ Stewart Mason Tomorrow Belongs To Me Music Bank Robbers Tomorrow Belongs To Me Songs | 1. | I'll See You in Another Life | $0.99 | |

Tomorrow Belongs To Me CD music
$12.59 The first 3000 copies of GREEN SNAKES includes a bonus disc of Bush originals recorded in 1962 with Willie Nelson and Tommy Morrell.
Johnny Bush has been around Texas forever -- or maybe it just seems that way. Certainly, the man with the massive tenor has been a legend since he started up as a frontman in the '60s, and the renewed popularity of his 1972 song, "Green Snakes," about a man with the DTs has brought him back into the spotlight and pulled a new disc from him. He's re-recorded that classic and offers material both old -- like "Driving Nails (In My Coffin)," which was a hit for Floyd Tillman -- and much newer, like the very funny "Dos Tacos." Bush sticks to the straightforward Texas honky tonk style that's been his trademark throughout his career, even on the gospel tune "Glory Train" (which is followed, ironically, by the adultery ballad "Cheatin' Fire," a wonderful duet with Leona Williams). Particularly interesting are his spoken reminiscences of the late, great Moon Mullican, coming right between Bush's versions ...

"Lava Lamp" is a soundscape built on fluttering organs, white noise, and whooshing ...
