Tony Terry definitely has the chops. I don't think that's ever been in dispute. What surprised me was his range and versatility. He can hit those falsetto notes with ease, and he can rope in what could be considered country-tinged, as well as the hymns and traditional. Yes, it's all there, in 17 cuts, something for everyone. Not one cut would I consider a lesser effort, either! My favorite is Praise Him! It's real. His talents are real. Good purchase on my part!

Again, I had the chance to see Tony Terry on Gospel Video and listening to his song Praise Him, got me looking all over the place for that CD. That SOng has an old fashion praise beat to it. I really love it and gotta have it.

When Brian De Palma's ultra-violent gangster film, SCARFACE, came out in 1983, it would be impossible to predict the imprint the movie would leave on the then-nascent world of hip-hop. At the time, the rap landscape was much more lighthearted, focusing on battling with rhymes instead of guns; it was before BDP's 9mm went bang, N.W.A. came STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON, and the Geto Boys related their grotesque stories from the street.
