Dead Moon's Calling music CDs
$14.45 Pop singer/songwriter Costello was into jazz. Jazz guitarist Bill Frisell was into pop. As some point, you knew they were going to collide. On this live outing from 1995, the sympatico artists tackle a handful of Elvis originals, as well as a cover of Charles Mingus's "Weird Nightmare."
A lovely, understated exercise in minimalism, Deep Dead Blue documents a set of otherwise unaccompanied guitar/vocal duets between Bill Frisell and Elvis Costello, ...
| | H I M Razorblade Romance CD (2000)
Dead Moon's Calling songs
$11.65 Despite having releases available mostly on import, the Finnish metal band HIM has inspired an incredibly loyal cult following in the United States. In late 2003, Universal reissued this, the group's sophomore album from 2000 (which reportedly sold over a million copies in Europe), with two remixed tracks from HIM's debut and one new song. Combining elements of vintage glam, old-school goth, and classic rock, with a few modern touches sprinkled in, the ensemble provides potent accompaniment to frontman Ville Valo's tortured singing.
HIM's dynamic music is based on an infectious blend of metallic riffs and goth keyboards. Mixing hard rock anthems with softer ballads, the band allows Valo to wax poetic (almost psychotic) about tragic love ("Join Me in ...

Dead Moon's Calling album
$16.45 Mark McMillon - Vocals/GuitarG. Bradley - BassPoppy - Drums Hope. Hardwork. Raw talent. All of these things have saved Dayton, OH's the Story Changes on more than a few occasions. Surviving nearly every possible pitfall a touring band goes through in their worst nightmare (i.e. all of their gear stolen, lineup changes, flaming vans), the band has managed to always bounce back, move forward, and achieve success. On their debut full length album "Last Night a Rock Band Saved My Life" (Future Destination Records), the band succeeds in bringing all that emotion and hard work together into 11 well crafted songs. Some deal with getting your heart broken, some with being the heart breaker. All are about hope. The reoccuring theme throughout the album is one of coming into your own and finding yourself buried deep within. The album was recorded in early 2005 in Arizona with Jamie Woolford (the Stereo, Let Go, the Format) recording and producing.Formed in ...
| | Shannon Ensemble Goodrich Worlds Within Worlds CD (2008) (Import)
Dead Moon's Calling CD music
$21.45 The Shannon-Goodrich Ensemble is an original world-jazz outfit formed in late 2004, fronted by Melbourne, Australian musicians, Clare Shannon (piano) and Elissa Goodrich (vibraphone). It sees these two respected artists move out from better known roles as supporting musicians for local bands such as Bahia, Combo La Revelacion, Phil Bywater’s Buried Treasure and Wendy Rule to front their own ensemble as co-soloists and composers. The Shannon-Goodrich Ensemble’s music is the unique culmination of diverse musical backgrounds (latin, jazz, world and contemporary classical) and a lifelong friendship. 2005 saw the Ensemble record and release their debut CD Crossing Over; a project inspired by Astor Piazzolla and prose from Amnesty International’s Anthology, distributed through Newmarket Music (in Australia), supported by Arts Victoria. In 2006 the Ensemble undertook a new music project – Worlds Within Worlds – in collaboration with Australian-Iranian translator / writer – Ali Alizadeh, creating a feature-length body of work inspired by Ancient Sufi poet Rumi’s prose. This new collaborative composition is supported by The Sidney Myer Fund. The song cycle component was performed for Voiceprints, Melbourne International Arts Festival 2007 to critical acclaim. About Worlds Within Worlds CD:The Shannon-Goodrich Ensemble’s Worlds Within Worlds CD (distributed by Newmarket music - in Australia) (2008) is supported by Arts Victoria Rocks.
