This is Herb Alpert's first appearance on DVD and if you are a fan, you'll definitely want to add it to your collection! If you haven't heard Herb's music before, then give this a try. Herb has never sounded better and teaming with Jeff Lorber's band was a great choice. He is the "A" of A&M Records and truly a legend in American music.

 THE LIVING LEGEND AT HIS BEST
THIS IS THE BEST PERFORMANCE ON VIDEO OR DVD FROM THIS MUSIC LEGEND. THE QUALITY OF THE DVD IS TERRIFIC AND THE SOUND IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. THE SELECTIONS PLAYED BY HERB AND JEFF LORBER BAND IN THIS CONCERT WERE JUST LIKE THE STUDIO RECORDINGS QUALITY. I JUST HAVE THE IMPRESSION THA I WAS THERE IN PERSON , AT THE VERY FIST ROW. I RECOMEND THIS DVD AS A PIECE OF MUSIC HISTORY FOR ALL THE MUSIC COLLECTORS AND OF COURSE, THE FANS.

 A CLASS ACT
This is a fantastic concert with very beautiful melodies,and the sound only Herb could produce.

 Herb and Jeff - Ideal Together
If you're a 60's Tijuana Brass fan from way back like me and revere Herb, then stop reading and order this. Yes, Herb's pairing w/Jeff Lorber's Band is an audio match made in Heaven. The sound is THAT good. Although unfortunately Herb performs little TJB material, (However, they play an updated syncopated rendition of his TJB's first hit, "The Lonely Bull," that'll have you unconsciously humming the melody for days and hitting your dvd player's "repeat" button until it breaks) much of Herb's '97 "Second Wind" album IS performed and the musical results are absolutely stellar. The band is TIGHT and first-class. Don't miss this one !
