Loved it....Loved the family....The Barkley's...there was just something about them. I say bring back the good old days when families stuck together,and stood up for what was right.Barbara Stanwyck was definately in her prime...Can't wait for season 2.

ANYBODY WHO KNOWS WHAT A GOOD TELEVISION WESTERN IS KNOWS ABOUT BIG VALLEY. ALL OF THESE 30 FIRST SEASON EPISODES ARE FIRST RATE AND THE STORIES ARE FULL OF DRAMA AND EXCITEMENT WESTERN ACTION STYLE. GREAT ACTING EVEN GREATER STARS. A MUST FOR ANY FAN OF WESTERNS LIKE GUNSMOKE OR BONANZA.

I've always beena Western fan, but I still do have my favorites. The Big Valley is one of those. The right mixture - a family of 3 brothers one sister and a half brother; that certainly makes for friction or laughs. No matter what the problems and differences of opinions are, in the end they are ONE family.
