I have seen Gloria Trevi on sundays and listenend to her music.. she has changed from being a young girl to a wonderful woman now! a am a grandmother, with a heartache as big as anybody's ( Yes, grandmaders get their heart broken too!) but she is now given me the strnght to move on and think that we can make it after all...Thank You Gloria for being so special and more gifted than you can imagine sweetheart! ..you are one of a kind! and full of love...bast wishes always sweet girl!..You have helped me so much Thank You!,

Latin pop phenomenon Gloria Trevi has been going strong since the 1980s, and 2007's UNA ROSA BLU doesn't suggest any sign that she is slowing. Though the lead-off single "Psicophonia," a swirling, passionate ballad, finds Trevi leaning somewhat toward an adult contemporary sound, there is plenty of uptempo pop to be had, whether it's rock-driven ("Pruebamelo") or bright, bouncy dance-pop ("Lo Que Una Chica Por Amor Es Capaz"). Help from top-flight producers gives the album an appealing sheen, but it's Trevi's indelible vocal stamp that makes UNA ROSA BLU another winner in her discography.

It's hard to know how to critique an album like this one. To be generous, if you're throwing a 1960s-themed Halloween party and need mood music, then this album has no peer. Consisting of rock-orchestral music composed by the German duo of Manfred Hübler and Siegfried Schwab, this album is the soundtrack to an obscure softcore horror/porn movie from 1969, and the music would probably give even Austin Powers nightmares. Tasteless fuzz guitar, big echoey horn parts, terribly played sitar, a strange, cheesy organ -- this is every '60s-era musical cliché come to life (or undeath). One track is built on a shameless ripoff of the "Satisfaction" guitar riff; another features yowling, yelping, wordless vocals to unintentionally hilarious effect.~ Rick Anderson
