The Detroit trio Demolition Doll Rods, consisting of two rock chicks and one guy who dresses like one, play the kind of joyously depraved, punky garage rock that by rights should no longer exist. But after listening to the primeval drums, distorted guitar, and manically energetic vocals of trash-rock gems like "Booty Call," "Baby Say Unh!," and their version of the R&B classic "Lil' Piece of Leather," you'll be glad it does.
Personnel: Margaret Doll Rod, Dan Kroha (vocals, guitar); Thumpurr Doll Rod (vocals, drums, percussion).

| | Oblivians Rock N' Roll Holiday: Live In Atlanta CD (2003)
There Is A Difference music CDs
$9.25 Through most of their existence, "subtle" was a word rarely used to describe the gloriously messed-up attack of Memphis roots punks the Oblivians, but they never sounded quite so frantic and hot-wired than they did on this live album, recorded during a feedback-laden 1994 show that found the band opening for like-minded maniacs the Woggles and the Mono Men. Briefly available in a pressing of 300 LPs in 1996 and now reissued ...

There Is A Difference songs
$7.59 U.K. released album FLAUNT THE IMPERFECTION was China Crisis' most popular. The roots rock/bluesy/new wave melding pot also featured the influence of Steely Dan's Walter Becker behind the production knobs.
China Crisis underwent a complete change in sound for their third album, completely ditching the heavy dub rhythms and challenging arrangements of 1982's Difficult Shapes & Passive Rhythms, Some People Think It's Fun to Entertain and 1983's Working with Fire and Steel (Possible ...

| | Laverne Rivers Banks O Lord My God CD (2008)
There Is A Difference album
$10.15 Bio for LaVerne Rivers BanksLaVerne Rivers Banks has been singing and playing Gospel music for over thirty-eight years. Her mission is to share inspirational and encouraging music to the Christian family, and compelling music to those in need of salvation through Jesus Christ. LaVerne uses her music as an avenue to help spread the Gospel message throughout the world. Recording and sharing Gospel music is personally rewarding to LaVerne, however she insists on giving all the glory back to God. He is the one who gave her the talent and ability to express His love, goodness and mercy through music, and her recordings are packed with powerful songs that portray her glorification. Some people call LaVerne a “real Austinite” because she still lives in Austin, Texas, where she was born and reared. She is married to Charles Banks, Sr., her husband of thirty-six years, and they are the proud parents of four children with their spouses, and have seventeen beautiful grandchildren. Through the years LaVerne has fulfilled many roles: wife, mother, grandmother, head musician and organist at her church for over thirty-eight years, and a lead singer in the choir. But underlying all of that has been creation - the writing and singing of Gospel music. LaVerne says, "Writing and singing Gospel music comforts me because it is a reflection of who I am. I draw strength from the music. Also, it's about sharing. It feels good to share what's inside of me through my music. When I sing, I feel God's pleasure. My songs speak the life I live for Jesus Christ."“O Lord My God” CD DescriptionWhen the time came to settle on a name for this album, the words “O Lord My God” continued to flow through LaVerne’s mind, ...
