(1 Customer Review)
DAILY SHOW commentator and stand-up comedian Lewis Black brought his politically-charged, red-in-the-face rants to New York's famed Carnegie Hall in 2005, and this double-disc set captures that hilariously piercing set. Black's bits, which cover everything from political hypocrisy to religion to what he sees as a general stupidity permeating society, bear more than a passing similarity to the words of another legendary funnyman who also played Carnegie Hall, Lenny Bruce. But while Bruce also had a certain jazzy hepcat charm, Black's charm comes in the form of pure unrestrained bile, as he offers a much-needed high-octane cure for the thinking-man's blues. Lewis Black rants so we don't have to.

| | Jeff Dunham - Spark Of Insanity DVD (2007) Widescreen
Carnegie Hall Performance
$11.35 Comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham hits the stage with hilarious new pals Achmed the Dead Terrorist and Melvin the Super hero, as well as old favorites Peanut, Walter, and Jose Jalapeno, in this sidesplitting performance at Washington D.C.'s Warner Theater.
More than just a stand-up comic, Jeff Dunham is a one-man comedy troupe--a ring-leader in a circus of snark. The veteran ventriloquist may be the only one with vocal chords, but he’s often the least vocal, playing straight man to a steam trunk of personalities: Achmed the Dead Terrorist, a goofball skeleton still fighting the infidels; Peanut, an odd purple creature with a fast mouth; Jose Jalapeño, a smooth-talking pepper ...

$12.79 1977's 96 DEGREES IN THE SHADE was Third World's US breakthrough album. Released at the height of American interest in reggae, the album also happens to be considerably more pop-oriented than the group's earlier excursions. From this point on, this Kingston-based group pulled off the tricky balance of roots reggae, Rasta proselytizing, and R&B-based pop song structures better ...
