The 14-track best-of features some of the Illinois pop-rockers' finest moments, from the 1980s Cheap Trick-influenced sounds of "New Thing" and "Fly High Michelle" to the darker, baroque strings of "My Heroin," from the 1995 album TWEAKED. One of the best undiscovered bands of their ilk, their layered pop sound has weathered the decades well. Fans include Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen and Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan, both of whom appear here.

Too much is never Enuff! Enuff Z'Nuff is one of rock's most criminally underrated bands ever, no question about it. From Donnie Vie's vocals to Derek Frigo's amazing guitar work to the fantastic songwriting duo of Chip and Donnie, you couldn't ask for a better all around band. If all you ever heard was (Get High On) A New Thing or Fly High Michelle, do yourself a favor and pick up this CD to hear more of this band's talent. Mother's Eyes is easily one of my favorite rock songs EVER. Submitted by genghis (Houston, TX, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
What Hits? Still One of The Greatest Bands Enuff Z'nuff is one of the greatest bands. Too bad their chart success does not reflect their talent. Donnie Vie rivals Lennon & McCartney in writing.
Please don't let this be the only album you get by these guys. This is far from their best album. The bass player must have compiled it because two songs are his on here and they actually suck. Pick up Ten, Paraphrenelia, Self-Titled, or Strength for a real taste of these guys. Submitted by Djura (Chicago) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Greatest Hits album
$7.85 In the late 1970s, bands such as Van Halen and Cheap Trick tempered hard rock riffs with pop melodies and pin-up boy good looks, resulting in big time success. With the advent of MTV in the early 1980s, groups such as Loverboy, Def Leppard, and especially Quiet Riot softened the sound even more, taking 'pop metal' straight to the top of the charts. Both metalheads and popsters latched onto QR's sticky sweet hard rock, as its debut, METAL HEALTH, became one of the biggest rock releases of 1983.
Although its success was based largely on the strength of two shout-along anthems (a cover of Slade's "Cum on Feel the Noize" and its own riff-heavy title track), METAL HEALTH turned out to be their most consistent album. There were several other winning numbers, such as the love song "Don't Want to Let You Go" and the charging "Slick Black Cadillac." The lesser known party hearty ditties "Breathless," "Run for Cover," and "Let's Get Crazy" are solid fist ...

Greatest Hits CD music
$18.95 For Penny Gilley, it’s all about the fans. Whether she’s singing in a club in Las Vegas, a packed auditorium in South Dakota, or in front of thousands of GIs in Kuwait, Penny treats her audiences like a second family. Maybe that’s part of growing up in a place like West Monroe, Louisiana, where her first audience were neighbors sitting in the pews at Southside Assembly of God. Penny, only 9, would sing, while mom, Barbara, played the piano and dad, James, played the guitar. Maybe it’s because her Dad is still her biggest fan â€" he hasn’t missed one of her shows within 250 miles in 15 years. (He comes early to get a seat rnight on the front row!) â€"He’s a proud Daddy,†she says. For sure it’s the reason she loves old-time gospel music and country classics, because it touches hearts and speaks to people. â€"The fans don’t get to hear the traditional music on the radio any more,†she says. â€"People are starved for the music they grew up on and love.†That’s why she is thrilled to be moving to Branson, a family-friendly town that already feels like home. A place where you can really meet your fans up close. â€"I remember when I was a kid, and Ernest Tubb would come through town, he’d take the time to talk to people,†she says. â€"It really made an impression on me and I promised myself that if I ever got a chance to perform, I’d do the same thing. †Penny has kept her promise. She’s ...
